Second of all, great I know Air Warrior was the first. But I'm not going to sit here and think it's anything other than a game I never played. Because it's just that to me, nothing more than the name of a game.

And this isn't about the history of online sims or it's creator, you turned it around to be that way. It started out as a thread in the ACES HIGH GENERAL DISCUSSION about Air Warrior. It degenerated to this trite when a select few decided to get all upity over something someone posted that he didn't even write!

You(AW) can come here, and expect us to find you funny. When we don't, and one of us posts something he thought was funny- you get your panties in the biggest knot that it would take a pair of scissors to get it out then a economy sized plunger to get it out your ass.

Then you tell some of us to respect you and the game you come from.

Okay, I did that... the first week of Air Warrior related stuff that only Air Warrior's could appreciate that you plastered this BBS with.

Now it's just old news, and this is Aces High the last time I checked.

Geez guys. It's a tragic loss, but all Staga did was pornolize the thread.  Funny how the reactions are what you'd expect from drawing a moustache on a painting of Christ.
Blasphemy? Hell yeah!  Unsophisticated? You bet.  
But it's more absurd than insulting.  And frankly, I've seen a helluva lot more absurd posts masquerading as meaningful in the last two weeks than I can stomach.  
Heck, I wouldn't have even followed the thread if had hadn't seen GB's reaction.  I saw that and my reaction was "here goes these AW kids again, trying to stir up trouble, like they have 30 times in the last week".
How was I to know Ol' airing the orchid didn't mean what he said about "Gamahutchin?"
Hell, even those of us who've never played AW recognize that this is an emotional time for AW fans -- I mean I'd longed to play AW since I read about it in 1988, but I never was on the right side of the hardware curve.   But they shouldn't forget that we're feeling the shock waves too.

Aces High is here because HTC got together and created it.  It doesn't owe anything to any other sims because it was created from a blank sheet of paper.  What ever existed in the past isn't relevant because it didn't spawn AH, HTC did.

We don't necessarily know who was a big figure in AW or whatever, nor do we need to know.  We just all need to concern ourselves with enjoying what we have now.

 

I understand some of you think that your tenure in Aces High gives you some sort of right to look down your noses at the "new guys", but try tripping on your tiny ego in doing so. Some of us have been online along damn timeand no where we came from.

This statement is dripping with more elitism than any other I have seen on this board.

You ARE newbies here.  Why?  Because you are NEW to this game.  It doesn't mean that you are without skills and talent but it does mean that those who have never played AW don't know you from any other guy joining up for his 2 week trial.  Even if you have been online a long time you haven't been online HERE for long.  Get it?  I hope so.

I seem to see your nose in every AW thread. Dont talk to me about elitism , I have responded too very little of this us vs them crap. YOU're right Mako, HTC just came up with AH from clean paper. Forget that HTC made Warbirds, inspired by fascination with AW. But that had nothing to do with it.  They got fuggin AMNESIA and did AH as the reslt of a mind-wipe.
