Corsair Hvy off a CV? Help!
« Reply #30 on: March 13, 2003, 03:38:51 AM »
I tried it all guys, rolling back as far as I can (that's surprisingly easy to do), flaps, no flaps, WEP, trimmin', gentle rudder input but there is NO WAY that I can get a fully loaded Corsair of a CV. It just drops like a brick into the sea when I leave the deck.

Nope :) not Mindnao!  You need to have the terrain to be able to run the film properly.  Without it all you have is water.

I roll back.   Stop and put flaps back up.  Then full throttle and WEP.  At 90mph or so I give it 2 notches of flaps.  The split second my wheels go off the end of the carrier, I put them up.  Then just enough stick and rudder to keep a nose up attitude.

It looks like it's going into the drink, but it doesn't.
