we dont really have a long history of disagreeing ya know, you're still relatively new =]

If you agree with that statement, then that implies you agree with GScholz as well.  Hunting for necessary resources is certainly acceptable.

Lets take the gloves off here and tell the truth.  That Photo is more about "Look at Those Damn Asians- they'll eat anything" than "save the whales."  Where is the picture of white Noweigens eating Whales????  That is a racisist picture.

But nothing in the Ocean has ever really needed mankinds intervention.
Exept whales orcouse cuase we almost killed them off.

Mother ocean takes care of her own with out any help from us.
Look I am an Avide Scuba Diver and have dove around the world.
And the ocean is one thing we better not mess with.
Can you say O2 thats where we get alot of our breathing air from.

And to mess with the delicate balnce in the ocean is to screw things up like we have done here on the land.

Yes, and I believe some cultures do kill primates for food.

Yeah, some of those cultures that do not eat cow will trap a live monkey securing its head and saw off the skull cap and eat the brains while the monkey is still alive.  I doubt it's prevailant, but I had to watch it in a college Cultural Anthopology course.

And you have never swatted a fly?
You are being silly.
Maybe this discussion is to much for you:aok

If there were a higher being/species than humans, we'd be just another rung on the ladder just like the plankton, the whale, the deer, and monkeys too.

Trust me I aint no tree huggerLOL.
I am your typical wastefull American.
And If I ever caught someone spiking aa tree I would personaly F them up.
But I am a realist and A lover of the ocean.

I have dove with these creatures and they are very special indeed.

There is some kind of bond there .
can't put my finger on it but it's there.

There are for the most part very gentle and loving.
They could easely kill me but instead they play like children with you.

I guess i see them like i see my dog's and not like my dinner.
PS I was raised on a cattle ranch so I know all about mammals for food.
Hell I love a good steak as much as the next guy.

Do yourself a favor and go diving with the dolphins you might just change your very closed mind.

:aok

WHOA!!!  Did you read the responses to that page?!

From: Judy Barton
Subject:
I just read your baby seals page for about the hundredth time this week, and I must make a confession to you, whoever you are, Knight errant or sweet seductive devil taken man-form and packaged in delicious human flesh by a far-off god to set my soul afire through the unlikely medium of the Internet.

Where to start the explication? May I begin with the picture of the noodle -- O Master? Inserted with the deftness of an expert into the quivering bulk of the text, a brilliantly underlined word leading to the subtly low-tech lone image, an unobtrusive link peeping out from amidst the essay -- peeping out much like a spring flowerbud first pushes through its outer husk and reluctantly reveals the first flash of her virginal petal -- peeping out much like the selfsame budding flower taken human form and, aroused for the first time in her virginal life by the concerted stare of a stranger from across the room, she passes from Child to Woman in an instant flashbulb pinpoint of unexpected arousal that, as the sages say, can only be quenched by the salty offerings of her lover's tumescent and purple throbbing ramrod of Knowledge.

This is what your web page has done to me. It has mercilessly pulled back the guarding fabric of my babysealskin leather skirt and thrust into my hungry crevice the firm hot Enlightenment of What Is Good In The World. Carefully, it works the knowledge in and out of me, lubricated by the ample juices of my eagerness to learn all that is known by you, O Master. Thrusting harder and harder, forcing its way into my hot wet consciousness, forcing open the lips of my reluctance, forcing loose the glistening tube that holds inhibitions at bay, forcing, forcing -- the earth quakes. I quake. Uncontrollably I quake. Consciousness slips away as my inner muscles of realization grasp your steaming hot postulate and pull it ever inward and force it back out again, over and over and over and over again. I fall back with the exertion -- an almost imperceptible sigh escapes my lips and a droplet of sweat falls off my brow onto the satin bedsheets -- the metaphorical bedsheets, of course, of formal schooling, that is, the bedsheets that catch our mutual liquids and, later, are used by you, Master, to secure my wrists tightly to the bedposts to keep me from shifting as you further inject me with your knowledge -- knowledge that is inserted sometimes gently, then violently, then gently again, ever rocking swaying with the Truth About Baby Seals.

Thank you.

From the Editor: No, Judy... thank you. I'm going to sit down now... and i don't know just what else to say.

You people make me sick.  How in the world could you ever think about killing a beautiful, graceful dolphin.  One of the most lovely creatures the sea has to offer us, so smooth and virile!  And you'd kill them?!  That's disgusting.  Quit allowing this horrible killing to continue and start loving dolphins!
