All the Acadian's with huevos left Canada and went to Louisiana, of course.

To Bush no matter what the motive was!

Took balls!

BTW our local paper thought so much of it they put it on page 8.

PAGE 8?!

Just when I thought I couldn't hate that paper any more.

Gunslinger, you should have joined the Navy instead of the Marines. The VIPs might have visited you and gotten dirty with you during the daytime, but at night they always helo'd back to the fleet and showered with the sailors. You would have liked that.

Ya keep on cheering to his propoganda BS... have fun ...  Maybe if he sent some of the troops home who were promised this by now i would find some ray of truth to all this BS .. but as it stands he's paying lip service in my eyes ... and he couldn't give a crap about american grunts.

He's a bloody 'daddy' draft dodger to start ... he's not changed much- still a coward or a hipocrate.... take your pick...

Awwwwwww....  Did George make duh wittle wibewal mad?

At least the "troops" know this president doesn't "loath" them... punk.

Rude, it's not my intention to say that those who fly in the guard now, or even then, are worth any less to this country. However, I do think Bush's military history is flawed, and I would be certain that the reason he stayed stateside during vietnam is because of his father's political ties. Unfortunately thats how this country works.

Two grandfathers of mine as well as my dad didn't get the same preferential treatment. One died as a result of his wounds from fighting somewhere in France.

As I said, him going over there was the right move, but to me it wasn't a 'brave' thing to do. Not compared to what we're asking of our guys there already. (which amounts to occupation of a hostile nation)

Lets put it this way.
If you where of fighting age during veit nam.
And you where Balck you got drafted and went end of story!!
If you where white you had a better chance of going to college
and staying out of the war.

It was not right but It was how It was.
So I'm sure old George got some kid glove treatment.
Hard to believe he did not.
But If people can say that Clinton although he was a lier and adultier and draft dodger.
Then I think we should not judge old george to harsh on being In the guard as apossed to the RA.

I mean good lord atleast he serverd :aok

There are LOTS of people who didn't complete thier Guard committment.  Just up and quit.  It still happens.  More often than not, it's not worth the trouble to go after them in a disciplinary action.  One of my brother in laws did that... the USANG eventually found him, and sent him his General Discharge papers.  It's all up to the commander.

104 posts so far, and only two or three even mention Hillary.

Intresting that someone looking to gain political advantage by visiting troops is a publicity potato... except demos.

By the way, the DHL plane didn't have flares and other countermeasures, AF1 does.
