Just curious, what type of video card do you have? The reason I ask, is with my old machine, I couldn't see ANYTHING at night except the stars and the moon. With the new machine, night is no big deal as the ground appears lit up by stadium lights. You can't see dots far off, but theres no danger of losing orientation as was the case with the old machine when the ground just looked black,and forget about seeing a runway or mountain. With the new card, the only difference is seeing bogies a little later( i.e., con range).

Well, I remember that some griping got it back, but it didn't take much.  'Course, as I recall it was put back in fairly quickly so the overtly whiney night lovers didn't have the opportunity to drag out the dead horse for a daily beating.

What I don't understand is how you could NOT like a fight on the deck in the dark.  It's just fun and, well, different.  But, if you are a heathon lacking in the sophisticated taste that is required to enjoy the nighttime, you just won't get it.

So.... what time is "prime time"?  With at least 4 timezones in the US (not to mention all the timezones in the rest of the world!) that makes US prime time cover quite a period of time.  For arguments sake, say "prime time" starts at 2000 Eastern (1700 Pacific) and ends at 0100 Pacific (0400 Eastern) - that's a spread of 8 hours altogether.  With AH days only lasting 13 hours, that means a high probability of night-time occurring at some time during those 8 hours.  Even if it doesn't happen during those 8 hours, it probably means those of us in the UK/Europe area get the night-time instead during our "prime time" hours!  So quit whining!

MA clock has a 13 hour clock. Dusk starts at 18:00 its full night at 18:30 and the clock then jumps to begin dawn at 05:30. Then we get a full day.

As its a 13 hour clock (and not a 12hour one) the period of night moves on by 1 hour each half day of real time. It therefore takes approx 6 days to go thru a full cycle.

This cycle will rarely be completed between weekly resets.

If your "prime time" is approx 2 hours long then the chances are that you will suffer/enjoy night 2 times in a 6 day cycle or at worst/best 2 times a weekly reset. (assuming you play every day). Thats 1 hour (2 x 30mins of night) out of every 13 hours of play.

If you suffer/enjoy night more than this then its because your unlucky enough to log on at those differring times that coincide with the shifting night time period.
