What a study in cultural clash!
Mighty1 and I are brothers. When we see each other, one is as likely as the other to slide up to the other and whisper "you're gay". Contextually it carries the same meaning as "dude". We then proceed to berate each other's sexual preferences, mentality, physical stature... all in fun. I would never dream to pull that on any of you, as you could never understand.
The thing that bugs me here is that Rude appears to have been having a pleasant conversation with you, then he made the "nazi" comment in an offhand manner. While that may not have been appropriate with a stranger, didn't his conversation with you up to that point seem friendly? English is not your native language, so I can kind of see where you might have been confused, but...
I assume the best out of people when online until proven otherwise. There are people who will pull chains for the fun of it, but there aren't that many that are really mean about it. As to the nazi comment, well... it just isn't the word here (US) it is in Europe. I understand where Europeans are coming from, and would not disrespect what I know to be strongly held feelings concerning this issue. But you must admit, there is no way Rude could have known your family history.
Ram, you are a good guy, but you do have to think about what you say here and on open channel. Of course, you can say and do what you like, but there are consequences for everything we say and do. Maybe Rude shouldn't have said what he said, but did you really think he meant anything malicious by it? And if you did, couldn't you tell him on private that is a very offensive term to you? If he responded poorly to it, you could squelch him and end it.
All that happens when you bring something like this here is you put everyone involved on trial unnecessarily.
