British 70's sportscars were pretty good?

Especially the E-Type V12's.

Someone tell Rip he can get his Mazda RX8 w/out that spoiler if he wants :)

Personally I don't like Japanese cars much but I have to admit there's something nice in the lines of that new RX8.

Agreed. But the owners are upset. Quite a few are complaining about the "warm up" rule or you blow the engine, and the fact that its not getting the advertised MPG (Off the top of my head, I remember someone averaging 14 mpg)

Wankel hasn't ever been the most economical engine.
Mazda gives figures 27mpg in highway and 15mpg at city and combined about 22mpg.

Now how much does your F-150 take in the city ?

It's not getting the advertised hp either.  They claimed 250, then reduced the claim to 247, then said there is 10% (or 15%, I can't remember whic) variation on that figure.  So they are dynoing around 220 at the crank.

My F150 was 17 all around.  I sold it. I own an F250 HD with a 460 cubic inch monster now. :D

Nice looking truck cobra. Bad combo for millage though..Those tires and that engine.
I love a lifted truck but thats a little heavy on the armour all on the tires.

Rip your F150 was the staight 6 wasnt it? Better milage then my V8 5 litre.

Yeah, Pongo, 300 c.i. straight 6. 2nd one I've owned, you can't kill that engine...best truck engine Ford made IMO. It actually had more torque with the auto tranny than the small block V8 with a manual tranny.

Unfortunately I needed to be able to haul 5000 lbs on my back while towing 3500 lbs. and the F150 just isn't made for that.

I hear ya, I'll have to off my Global Warming Supercab in about 5-7 years due to the kids.  I was in the market for a crew cab, diesel, but everything I looked at was out of my budget.  The one I got was such a steal, I couldn't say no...

Did you know that in the 90's model (this may not apply to newer models as I have not researched them) that the F250 HD with a Camper package has the same suspension as the F350?  I didn't know that til a dealer showed me a leaf spring set up on two of them side by side.

Good luck on your purchase, take your time, you'll find a deal. Took me 7 months to find a good deal..
