Why is there so much backlash to the alcohol statistic?

I wouldn't be suprised if fat was the number one killer in ALL western societies, not just the USA.
The more high tech and convenient our lives become, the lazier and less fit we all become.
Probably closely followed up for second place by tobacco, then probably alchohol.

By the way guys, what is an SUV?  Sport Utilitarion Vehicle or something? Sub Urban vehicle?
I know what a 4 Runner is, just down here thats called a 4 wheel drive, a Ute, or simply a Toyota or Tojo.
Though Toyota and Tojo, or plain old Cruiser, are usually specifically meaning the Land Cruiser, not the HiLux.

Allso, what are 'bales' on a bucket?

How is it proven?  Please provide evidence to back that up.

The reason that there is no prosecution is the fact that we have no way to establish how much needs to be be in your system like we do for alcohol.

Also a large part of your other 60% is fatigue.

Personally I see nothing wrong with SUV's people crash them because they are idiots driving them like sports cars and expect them to handle the same in the wet as their car.

My daily drive (days when not on the bike) is a Jeep with Mud Terrain tyres on it, in the wet I just take it easy especially with breaking distances.

It's a pig on gas but I'm having too much fun listening to the six and tyre hum to care. I can use the bike when I want to save on gas. Though the bike isn't all that economical either on gas past 7000rpm.  And another disadvantage is that you tend to go through a whole forrest of rubber in one year. :D

Concho,

Good to see you.

My new gf is in the police force, we were discussing this very same subject the other day. She said the police were trialing some new device in conjunction with Aussie police and also working with Universities from Auckland and Australia studying the effects of pot on driving.

Clearly, we need to register all automobiles. Then we've got to absolutely require training, testing and licensing of all those who want to use them.

Of course, when a repeat DUI offender jumps the median while his BAC level is over the legal limit and then kills an entire family in their minivan, he should be given a ticket and at least a $100 fine.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
