People do cheat!
« Reply #135 on: May 15, 2004, 09:06:22 PM »
All,
I am JB22, XO,  of the III/Jabostaffle squad, as you can see by my BBS name, some of you may remember me as Gripper or IHGrippr of the Ironheads, a fine Knight squad. The other night,we tooka base, and JB08 kept upping, we all got a few vulches as we wer capping the field, It didnt seem unusual ( I recall as a Knight 2 squaddies got >50 kills on dlamb upping B17s).All I can say is that none of this was known to any members of the squad, and it is truly disappointing.  The JB squad has a lot of fine pilots that work hard for their skills, especially since we fly the Luftwaffe planes.  I switched to the Rooks from the Knights, to join the JB squad because I flew alot with JB42 in the Special Events arena.  JB42 is one of the finest CO's in this game, and I can tell you he is perplexed by this also.  Unfortunatley, people cheat, and sometimes, it may be a squaddie.  Ironic that this parallels what is going on in Iraq, one bad apple tarnishing the integrity their brothers.  I've seen plenty of people cheat, Knights, Rooks and Bishop.  It makes no sense to me, but its their money.  I regret that this happedned in such a fine squad, but we ( the JB squad) have to deal with it.  I'm truly sorry.   JB22

As far as I'm concerned, the JB squad has nothing to apologize for. It's a great squad, and it's been a priviledge to fly along in some of their missions. I'm certain JB42 will take care of the problem in one way or another. He's too good a guy and it's too good a squad to tolerate such behavior bringing such unflattering attention to a squad like that. I'll not allow the actions of one less than honorable individual to color my view of the group as a whole or any one of the rest of the squad.

As far as the guilty individual is concerned, his actions say all that needs to be said about him.

Can we burn him now?  Why bother with a witch-hunt if we can't burn him?  I got the wood and stake set up, someone just needs to bring the refreshments.

I think he does care if for every person doing that 10+ more are alienated and disillusioned and choose not to renew their subscription on the next billing cycle and take their $$$$ elsewhere...

Situational awareness is critical in this game,  and once you lose that your pretty much setting yourself up to give an easy kill..  The B has its advantages,  but that one major disadvantage outweighs its pro's for me..   Anyone can land kills in any plane if flown right,  knowing your boundries of skill and what you can and cannot do gives you those kill messages..  But id still choose a D over a B ;) ;)

Surprised they'd want a proven tard like that associated with their squad.
