Early conclusion:  B pony is a much better plane than D pony

Edit:  In a fighter role

IIRC, quite a few P-51 pilots liked the B/C models far better than the D model.

My return is slated for 2 weeks, well when AH2 comes out.  Whichever is sooner.  I am stuck in Americas Army and I want to reach my goal of 80 honor before I leave.  <--------- at 79 right now   :D

Saw it at the AA booth at E3, they were showing the new add-on with the Stryker vehicle and special forces.  Grabbed my interests and grabbed a CD of it when they were passing it out.

So consider not blaming the entire squad for the actions of a single pilot.

I missed the part where anyone blamed anyone but JB77.

It is possible there is another explaination for those stats,

No, there isn't.

As I've stated in other threads, I'm glad 42 and his bunch are rooks and I enjoy flying w/ them. They do some dirty work, i.e. upping against horrible odds at a capped base in an effort to save it, that few are willing to do.  I've known 42 for quite a while now and do not consider 77's action a reflection on him or his squad.*

*Edit: Were 77 to remain in the squad and continue this activity I must admit my opinion would change(about the squad).  Then again, who the heck cares about my opinion?  :)

TY AKAK, now that you mention it I think I've heard that before.
Since my dad has always been a fan of the D, it was the one I chose to try to become proficient in.  After spending time in the B however, I too feel that the B is better as a fighter.*

* repeat disclaimer:  This is my impression after spending one evening flying the B, I do not by any means claim expertise in the matter.

I'd be interested to know what other people in the game think.

I can't remember the last camp I played for score/rank, the only rank I care about is fighter rank. I have made sure I do not rank in the top 100 overall  just for this reason. Hehe

If JB77 is padding his score as it appears,  I am sure that JB42 and company will do something about it.

It is possible there is another explaination for those stats, but I cant for the life of me think what it could be.   Im not quite ready for stakes and fire yet.   (besides thats HTCs call)

I am really piping in to remind everyone that a squad and its CO only has limited control over its members,  give them a chance to get to the bottom of this and try not to drag thier name thru the mud while they sort it out.

How would you like to be a CO and have this sort of thing dropped on your plate?   It certainly cant be an easy thing to handle.

So consider not blaming the entire squad for the actions of a single pilot.

Alright,  Iv had my say,  Now let me have a chair and a beer and we will see how this thing unfolds.   :)

I don't recall anyone even mentioning his squadron. The original poster included some of his squadmates for illustration purposes, using them in that breakdown actually proved they were not in collusion. I think we can surmise that JB77 is the sole perpetrator here....

I dont know Steve. For me, when I get the D down to around 200 mph it stall fights much better for me. The line between stalling an losing it in the B seems very sharp and abrupt. The D I can almost always recover from a stall in at low alt on the deck. (I think what I am trying to say if the B mod seems to offer little warning when it is about to snap its back)  Although the B is a fun fighter to fly and I enjoy flying it very much I just dont have much luck in it. Esp when I get into a turn fight that I am totally at home with in the D, I just feel lost with the B.

Like you I would probably have to devote a tour in it to really pass judgement here.

I flew with the JBs a while back, and they're great people. Sporty to the point of holding their fire in an HO and always looking out for each other. I guess there will be one more ex-JB after this.

I miss flying with the JBs ... maybe when AH2 gets online.

Zazen, Steve,

I hoped to keep things in prospective.   As a CO I feel for JB42 in this.   I was hoping things dont escalate to squad bashing.   If I gave another impression,  my apologies.

Grimmy, no need to apologize.... it gave me a chance to reiterate my view....not that my view is worth more than what I think about it!
