A tangential comment:
In WWII, hitting an opposing tank at 2k from another tank was exceptional. Also, at that range, a KwK36 88mm gun (like in Tiger I) would only penetrate about 86mm of homogeneous armor at 30 degrees. (From book "Sherman Firefly" by Hayward; similar data on Internet). This implies that if you hit another Tiger from the front at ranges over 2k, it shouldn't normally yield a kill.
If the AH tank model allows kills at 4k and above, it would appear to be very unrealistic. Anyone know why it is modeled this way?
(BTW, you guys are using overkill on that poor ridenlow guy).
