The video can be seen at msnbc.com. The speech was really great, and GWB performed it very well. Very touching.

The Clintons seem hell bent on disgracing themselves wherever they go and whatever they do though...

The funeral was very nice, touching eulogy by Bush.

Too bad the Clintons wanted to sleep rather than watch.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe those were members of the military honor guard and not merely just troops gathered from around.

I did not mean to insunuate that. They were indeed Honor Guard, not ordinary troops. From my experience the different branches don't interact that much in parade details. There may indeed be a dedicated multi-branch detail stationed in Washington. It was still a very impressive display.

Whatcha smoking, Tilt?

Just read the whole thing; sure didn't see what you saw.

Enlighten us with a few quotes from the text that bothered you.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Actually watched as much as I could during lunch. Very moving when Nancy turned and waved at the top of the steps entering AF1.

I gotta agree, I saw nothing partisan in the speech, well written, and a fitting eulogy.

Why did George W. Bush speak from the pulpit over the coffin when everyone else spoke from the podium next to it?

I could only listen to the speaches on the radio, and they where very nice. I really liked Thatcher's remarks as well as both Bush Sr and Jr's words. Very moving.

I hope to get to see these on TV.
