Do you really mean to tell me that we are stuck with this? Have you seen the bug reports? Do you think it's wise to run a game that some have to rebuild thier systems for. Mass disco's, incredibly poor framerates when in combat zones with more than 5 other players, and unbelievable fuel consumption rates that make it very unlikely you'll land. Those of us who dont care about rank live for the landings, to see our names in lights. Even with drop tanks, most planes cannot return from a 2 sector flight with any time over target.
And just a quick question, why would I care how great the GV's look in a game called ACES HIGH? I know that they are a part of gameplay, but they seem to be the only thing that works halfway decent. Next are we changing the name to Panzers High? It seems to me that everybody I've asked, and I mean EVERYBODY, suffered some loss of playability in exchange for more detailed video. What made the game great was the feel of the plane, the way you could get into a rhythm, and see what was happening. Just about everyone I asked said that has been lost. The loss of performance has made it blind luck if you even tag your enemy, nevermind shoot him down.
Even with a computer gaming system specialist setting up my system, a 1.2Ghz Celeron, GeForce FX5200 128M, and 384 of RAM I get a FR of 9 in any kind of field attack situation. (yes, cable internet) I am CO of an 80+ member squad and cant even see the battle. I'm totally useless in a game that I was good at a week ago. I guess after 1 year I'm forced to buy another new computer or quit a game that was once(like 7 days ago) alot of fun for me. What was wrong with AH1 anyway? AH2 will be great when it's ready, but a quick look at the bug reports tells anyone with half a brain that it's not there yet.
