You mean intead of seeing 200-300 guys loving to see themselves talk ... come on ... CH 1 is alive and well on CH 200.

Like Tweedy said, too many people still trying to figure out how to play/survive. Once that is accomplished, the usual politcal/history/smacktalkin/insulting/predjudice diatribes will resume.

Be patient ... the scum always rises to the top ... eventually.

I miss it too. I was never one to  squelch anyone or any channel, because I found it all amusing.

I miss channel1 and I still miss not having kill macros like AW had..... they B FUN.

Also loved the Death messages from AW. No one could hide that fact that they were shot down by "so and so" ..... especially fun after having talked like a hero, then seconds later "Hero shot down by Tard" comes across for all to see. Beautiful.

But channel 1 being gone is sad.

I do not miss it at all.

I can those I want to.

If I want to talk to someone not on my country I can take the time and effort to do so via private.

If for whatever reason ( few that I can think of ) I feel a need I can tune to 200 and wallow in it.

I've said this before in other topics but...

Insead of giving new life to an obviously degrading community, they instead divided by 3 instead.

I can't wait to see the AH Conventions in a couple of years..

"Do I know you?"

"I flew for the Bishops."

"Oh, I don't know you, I flew for the Rooks."
--

A good community can prolong even a bad game (and I'm NOT saying AH2 is bad), not sure why HTC even considered killing channel 1. More volunteer moderators would of been a better solution...

you hit the nail on the head delirium.

everyone that shoot down or that shoots you down its like they are just a drone now. might as well play an offline game like il2 it feels vacant the way il2 does now.

and it does feel like 2/3rds of the crowd is not really in the same arena now because you can't easily talk to them or say hello.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

I liked what someone said about having channel 1 being squelched an option under setup.

AW's death messages were as follows:

"XXXX shot down"  or "XXXX plane crashed".  Which message you saw depended on whether the guy crashed as a result of enemy action.

This system, as with AH's origional system, is horribly ill-suited to AH's current over-populated arenas of hundreds upon hundreds of people.  It causes the text buffer to scroll too quickly.

Give it time, peeps don't know about ch200 yet. They will, soon enough.

But right now, you're right, it's pretty boring.

What we need is a .f for the finger command.

I think the finger key is one of the best ideas I have seen so far, it gets my vote :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I would only want Channel 1 back if I can get a permanent squelch for it.  Then turn channel one back on for those who want it.

Every time I log on I squelch channel 1, and I am tired of have to do that.  I really don't want to even hear the salutes kee rap.

I only salute you will get from me is from  the 6 50s on my Pony. The only salute I expect back if from your favorite gun set.

Let the guns do the talking. :D

LOL I loved the macros I enjoyed the overall creativity people put into them good or bad.
I know some didnt like at least a couple of mine.
I know one that freaked a few people out was
"I want your blood...ALL OVER ME! /IT\ KILLS! ///oo\\\"

I miss seeing them though. Kinda like the NFL squashing end zone celibrations which I also enjoyed.

The death messages were great too And ended upon both sides of that coin.
But win or loose it was all in good fun...most of the time lol

All in all they added to the entertainment. And thats what this s really s'possed to be all about.
