Oh, ch 200 will catch up to it's former self. There's really nothing different about it, it's just in a different place don't ya think? Or do you attribute that it's now gotta be "tuned" to, it just fails to reach out and drag in a lot of people?

I would also suspect that many people are way more concentrated on the game with it's new attributes to deal with rather than all country channel. Once everyone gets comfortable you'll see more of the old pot stirrers on there, IMHO.

Aces High always has more action on its Playground of the Vanities bulletin board than it does in the game.  Cannot hiccup without half the players cackling "Gross!" and the other half murmuring "God bless."  

Aces High is not one game but a mosaic of variations blending the most persuasive vociferants.  Whatever we want is somewhere now or a possibility.  No need to mourn Channel 1 -- Channel 200 makes it a life sentence rather than the death penalty.

This is a big part of why I am leaving (for a while anyways). Getting busy with RL things doesn't mean you NEED to leave AH. But the fact that the game just sucks so much with out Ch1 I really dont have any 'drive' to play. The fun was sucked out with the killing of Ch1. There was always something to talk about ect. Now there is nothing. CH200 is nothing but a lame excuse and poor substitution for what was a good thing.

I wont even get into the icon thing.

Its just more agrivation and less fun right now. I'll be around but I will in no way be playing as much as I hoped not to mention looked forward to! Things are becoming more and more of a let down than anything else. (Which is why its probably a good idea for a long over due break after 2+/- solid years of flying.)

I knew it would be like this when you guys first took away Ch1. I knew it and many told me to piss off and that Ch1 was nothing but a killer for good game play. Well then I will ask you this.

Having people sit in silence at 20k awaiting a fight? Or a boring climb out with nothing being said, nothing to talk about, no Ch1? Only the arm chair generals talk on Ch2 now anyways.

The way it is right now is a step backwards. Ch1... I hate the fact that we had our choice to turn Ch1 on and off taken away from us because the poor girls who didnt' like Ch1 couldnt stand the sight of it for those few monents before they squelched it. Poor little girls.

Most of the time I feel embarrassed for them, the rest of the time I feel like smackin the smack out of them, which of course kills the joy of game play .

They ruin the whole concept of immersion. Taunting to an extent is part of the game, but some of these guys,.... sorry, you know who you are,...only pull attention to themselves as they publicly exhibit stupidity and self absorbing pedestal climbing.

Fester and delerium have it right IMO. Ch200 isn't the same thing. The default open channel is a community building tool, no matter that griefers can abuse it. There's ways to deal with that. There's no replacement for having that flow of communication that makes you love to hate the enema

I squelch 1 just to avoid seeing those god awful lame repetitive macrod salutes every one the same with no human variation all artificial as the matrix itself.

I for one am more than pleased channel 1 is gone.  I'll state a FEW of my reasons why.  

1)No more text bar suffering from WHITE OUT especially when theres 300+ in.
2)Now I (or U) can read specific info related to game play.
3)Don't have to keep extending text bar because the purple / red text flew past so quick in the WHITE OUT.
4)Newbies no longer give game plan away in white text.
5)Don't have to read incest / oral insults.
6)Don't have to read how X Y or Z is gods gift to AC.  Most of the braggers ain't that good anyways.  Man, these boys tick me off some.
7)Don't have to squelch 1.

Now, boys, you have a brand new blaggers braggers channel.  Tune to 200 .. and u don't have to do that every time as it's perminant.  You knobbers can fill that text bar to your hearts content or untill the likes of shane, for example, make it their own personal forum:rolleyes: You guys could always more to Yahoo/ kids chat /Fight rooms.....and it's free.

As for HTC's actuale reasons for getting shot of channel 1 I have no idea but lets suppose we have sherlock like powers of deduction.

1) It's his living / business ...so the more that stay / play the better.
2) A wider spectrum of game player may be encouraged to stay because they ain't reading what in effect is err....Bollox!!
3) Newbies may actually stay after the 1st ALT F4 joke.
4) Newbies may actually stay because they ain't being insulted with "Tard" and the like.

Why not just insult people on the BB to the point of making a 16 yr old kid who's sole goal was to work and make enough $$$ to build a computer to pay HTC $14.99/month , get him banned from the BB and lose a paying customer by insulting said customer and calling him a "retard".  Hell all the kid wanted to do was make friends and pay $$$ for a game that interested him.  Yeah he had some pretty stupid posts on the BB, but really your replies took the cake in terms of stupidiy.  And alas he is banned as well as Jet, so there goes $30/ month towards HTC's bottom line just to keep you onboard.......wow you made a map......guess its ok to ban two harmless guys and lose $30 but yet keep some noodlesack ******** assbandit hatemonger and make $14.99
