I didn't hear him say anything about the pics. I did read him say he didnt like the derogatory posts and negative remarks of witch you were a major player. If there was something about the pics I must have missed it. Though I do agree SOME were in really bad tast.

When AH2 went live, I typed in ".radio 2 200".  The next day, when I logged back in, channel 2 was still set to 200.  Amazing thing, it was there the next day, and it was there everyday since.  I only had to type ".radio 2 200" once.

Those people who didn't want to take part in channel 1 at any level and chose to squelch it, they would type ".squelch 1" when they logged in.  The next time they logged in, they had to type ".squelch 1".  They had to type it each time they logged in.

There are only 2 major differences between channel 200 and the old channel 1.  First, it is not automatically enabled.  Not everyone is going to see what you type.  Is that really a bad thing?  Second, your name now has "200" following it.  Other than that, it is exactly the same.  I can have conversations with people like Frenchy, Nomde, Silat, the AK's, etc who are flying in other countries.

Oh well, I will just shrug, roll my eyes, and sigh.  Pretty much the same reaction I have with all the other "major" issues that people seem to claim AH has (you know, like the fuel multiplier and the new icons/gunnery).

Channel 200 is only different than channel 1 in one manner. You must choose to join it, wrather than choose to not join it. And it seems to me the people complaining about it, are realy complaining that most people do not join it.

Well guess what, that was the entire point of disabling channel 1.
So that the people who abuse the channel , did not have a captive audience that didn't want to listen. Why should the burden of choosing to  listen be on them, VS the burden be on the people who did wish to listen.

Any thoughts on doing the same with range channel? Channel 100 instead of an open channel that we can't even squelch...?

so, is removing ch1 "the" major improvement from 1 to 2?  or on the other hand, is it a major step in wrong direction?  either way, seems it is overshadowing everything else and that is sad.
