Same thing, round and round. But I don't think I ever heard anyone here accuse anyone of being "unamerican" for their dissent.

As far as I'm concerned, the neo's invented this sort of political hate... and they are reaping what they've sowed. As far as so-called respect for the office, the neo's have trampled it. This level of vitriol didn't exist before Clinton. I'm afraid it's here to stay. Pretty sad.

Yet another great quote ther Nash!:aok
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

"As far as I'm concerned, the neo's invented this sort of political hate... "

Look up the hate in the time of Jefferson and Adams, or better yet during Jackson's presidency, or even the stuff directed at Van Buren.

And how about the election of 1860 and several entire states threatening to secede if Lincoln were to win (and actually going so far as to follow through with their threats)?

It's nothing new.  Really.  It just seems different because we're living it instead of reading about it in the history books.  I don't usually involve myself in political discussions anymore due to the pointlessness of it, but claiming that political hate never used to exist....is simply erroneous.

Well...., I don't 'hate' anyone, but I do agree with you that's exactly what Liberals have for George Bush.

Fight fire with fire I guess.

Are there any other options? Play dead? I think not.

You folks are good at hate. And it did catch a lot of poeple off guard. But it turns out, you aren't that clever nor creative about it. With you, it's more about the sledgehammer approach. Which, I'll admit... has been workin' like a charm. I think mostly because it was new territory.

Now I think two can play at that game, and one can play better. You will have to drift ever further afield to play upon fringe-like ignorance, fear and hate... because people get desensitized. So your strat will either implode or alienate you from...well... normal people.

Anything close-minded people can do, open-minded people can do better. Including hate. Game on.

 :lol  :aok :rofl :( :o :D

I have however, pointed out that some of the criticism is pretty lame and hysterical.   I have also pointed out that those who seem the most critical are not even citizens of this country.   They of course would be... non-American?  Most are blatantly anti anything American too.

as for the question... I would buy the DVD set of all the past munster series shows in order to show my support.

As for anything specific... give me a specific and I will tell you yay or nay about the "rally behind" thing.

I liked Fred Gwynn, the compairison is funny. He is a likeable guy.

I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to debate points before November.

The next few months are going to be very interesting. Events comming to light in the next week to ten days will keep this UBB very busy.

The Liberty Bell will spontaneously melt down and the Washinton Monument will take off like a Saturn V and land on the moon.

As with the above kerry becoming President will never happen.

Should the worst happen I'd take it stoically, already have 8 years of practice. Maybe he can lead us to destruction with less embarassment and hoopla than his mentor.
