Well, yes- was the programming so funny your son kicked his feet in laughter, hitting the stand and causing this accident?

If so then we can sue Ed, Edd and Eddy, too-  for being too funny for a five year old to watch without convulsing in laughter and thrashing his feet about, possibly causing the collapse of a television on his unblemished face.

This is America, baby- you bleed you sue.

I am your lottery ticket to the top- scratch me. That's all you have to do.

Ya know, you could be saving the lives of 100's of small children all across the country that don't know this hazard exists.
Think of the children!

BTW, glad to hear he's fine.:aok

Frightening read, I didn’t expect it to end so well.  I’m very glad that all is well.

Jeff Foxworthy has a joke that is very similar to your experience; it started kind of like this.
When I was a kid we had a 900 pound TV on a TV tray…

You upgraded to a 36 inch tv and kept that 27 inch stand didnt you!
Man, drives you nuts when the kids get hurt.
"Dad why is my arm bent funny?" Well it looks broken bud..Lets go see what a doctor says.
Gota keep a cool head.
Man you have bright healthy blood kiddo!
Look at that neat spiral pattern! The stove elements sure are hot arnt they!
And the memories. For years afterwords my younger son would point out the rock he hit his head on to get a bunch of stitches. He would jump down the same bunch of rocks and then at the end bend over and put his head in the same postition against the rock..lol  Drove my wife nuts.

in all the injuries and trips to emergency there were not many real tears that I remember. But I cried when saw the first bill from the orthadontist..man give me the emergency room any day.

Glad to hear your boys ok!

Glad to hear the kids doing fine. Just think, now you only have a few years until he's on his own and you can worry LONG DISTANCE!!  :D

Hey Mac, glad to hear he is allright, when I got my large tv it came with an anchoring strap to attact to the wall behind it, if yours didn't come with one, it would be easy to make one, head over to your local hardware store and describe what you want, they will be able to come up with one for ya, I watch our 3 and 2 year old foster girls constantly touching that tv and am glad it came with one.

I'm back guys and thanks for wishing my Son well.

After we got home the TV was still on the floor. So I get an old unused Carolina Wood end table that is strong, sturdy and big enough to handle the weight of the TV.
Well I forgot about my bad back and the old saying "Lift with your legs, not your back." My wife, 13 year old Daughter and I decided to get it up on the end table. Well we got it up on the endtable. TV works. Replaced a wall cable for the digital cable box. And felt pretty dammed lucky....until this morning.  Yep, you guessed it... Screwed my back up pretty bad. Just another lesson learned.
I almost dread the 4th of July coming up. We'll just go watch fireworks... none for the home front.

Again, thanks for all the replies. :aok

LOL gofaster.  I live in Oklahoma....Only a fool would live in a trailer in Tornado Alley.  Got a nice 5 bedroom, 2 bath, great livingroom, dining room and kitchen. 2 car garage with another 1 car garage that I use as the pool house...ohhh forgot to mention the inground pool with waterfall at the deep end which is  between the house and the large fishing pond out back.  Is this a "double wide?" All on a VA Loan.
