I was flying one of those bombers I think (or was escort I forget).  AW was a heck of a lot of fun.  Was first in a lot of things, note we had shadows way back then, and some things (like full crewed bombers) have never been done again.

Managed to peel off, shoot the rest of the rockets in the general direction of the base then twisted and hopped all over the hillsides while 3 or 4 guys boom and zoomed me for a while. Then I got shot too much and spun into a tree.

@#$% I missed this.

I also heard today (from TC) that Snowman was thinking of coming to AH! That would be cool.

im trying to get the multiplayer working through the modem to modem play right now, he is hosting at the moment, and i am placing a call through the tcp/ip connection type, but after i enter the ip it gives me a window asking for connection type, its blank. Do i need to get dos working for this to work, im using xp right now, just assumed multiplayer would work since the rest of the game does.

There was quite a stink over something I did in the last frame ;)

Only did one AWCon, AWCON 98, San Fran best dam event Ive ever been  to in my life (been to alot of gaming, computer, and anime conventions), Boa passed out in the bushes outside the hotel, Subby refused to wear her badge (ego), Lone Wolf swapped the sighns on the Men's and Women"s bathrooms. Stileto did 10 rounds with jose cuervo, Swift tormented the hotel managers job with a lazer printer, Torp got lucky (I think), Devi stole the Shill banner twice once from thier own hotel room with the security guard present, And the 33rd got a picture of a green mime holding the banner.

I started right after AW moved onto AOHell.  I didn't play much until AW3D, and really got into it on Gamestorm.

Ssnif's doing well AFAIK.  He's active on BigWeek also.

FWIW, my wife talks to GE's wife on occasion.  GE and his wife both moved on to playing Everquest last I knew.

It is indeed shocking that folks like Mul, Longhorn, and myself have been playing games like AW and AH since before many of the current players were even in grade school.

I wish I had screen shots from the old B&W Mac AW. It'd send you folks screaming into the night. At lowest level of detail it was just vectors for terrain.

Ah, the Regressors ... Never before have so many been shot down by everyone else.

Scorpia (who ran the games forum on GEnie) purely hated my squadron. At one point so many of us were on suspension we renamed the squad to "The Banned."

$1000/mo was not unusual, TC (Tango Circus) would post double that sometimes because he was dialing-in from Canada half the year. And some people logged in during business hours (@ $12/hr) at the end of a campaign to try to get that last bomb run in to win.

These are the missing, all the others have posted here recently. (wakey wakey)

BlueBaron is working in Austin. Holmes, no idea, I miss his wit and grace though (same for BB). GE is in AZ and playing EQ on the CT server. No word on Vossman (NOT Voss) though we played guitar together last time I saw him at the 1997 AWCon in Houston. No idea on GR or Eyeballs either, though EB had his own (damn, what plane was that he bought?) Aerobatic plane and was working on getting his ticket. Last saw EB in Dallas at SB's AWCon.
