1.   Typhoon, will out turn other bnz planes.
2.   Typhoon, will blow up spits, la7, niki's in a heart beat with 20's
3.   Tempest, only when some dweeb gets me low and slow, I'll come back in a tempest and kill 'em.
4.   Hurri C, for base defense.
5.   A20, great for quick way of hitting factories nearby.

P.S., typhy vs P38, typhy will usually win that fight.

Depends what Im doing..
I'll fly just about anything but the spit which I outright refuse to fly even when my squad calls for it exept under very heavy protest.

I've flown a bunch of planes as my main rides or at least on a regular basis but I often prefer some of the tougher ones to fly as you only learn so much from the easier ones like the spit, La7, and Niki
My main rides have been

FM2,
NIKI
Tiffy,
Pony B model
FW A-5
FW A-8
FW D-9
And lately been dabbling with some of the 109s tougher planes to fly then some give credit for.

But I hope to work my way through all the planes eventually. cept the spit.

Oh and why do I fly em.
I think that knowing as many planes as possable and their capabilities goes a long way in learning how to kill em.
Plus its always a challange almost like playing a new game.
Funny thing I've noticed is when I make the occasional switch back to  an easy plane like Say a Niki I almost feel like Im cheating. flying those planes is THAT much  easier

How the hell does ANYONE suck in spitfires?

My 7 year old daughter (then 6) was able to get 2 kills in a spit once using only stick input and the only experience in AH was watching me.

#2. very quick into a turn producing beautiful Snapshots.

#3. Turns much better than given credit for.

#4. Takes a Lickin and Keeps on Tickin.

#5. Chop throttle and force Overshoots with the greatest of ease.

#6. maneuverable even as slow as 80mph

Zazen, Widewing. your forgetting gondies and a few other things.  The 109 may not be able to get a turn fight going, but it has some nice led abilities in the First few seconds of the turn.  Urchin could easily saw off a descent 51's wing in htat short time.  109 also has better gun package.

If u want I can show you that a Tempest can indeed out-turn a P51..A 109g-10 can out turn a p51 too.

I fly 109s often. I like them, I like their ability to turn around an initial disadvantage to a kill very quickly. However, I have had some pretty tough brawls with well flown Mustangs, and even the 109G-2 was hard pressed. You simply cannot match a P-51 in a flaps out stall fight with a G-10.

That said, you certainly can use angles and the vertical plane to defeat the Mustang. But simply trying to out-turn it in a low speed fight is ill advised.
