Well like I said Pongo your reaction was a surprise. You never got really upset by any of the other BBS political related banter and insults between the two of us before that joke so I was taken aback by your reaction. It's not something I'd say to a person because its obviously crude and offensive but in the context of the BBS it was intended as a joke directed towards your BBS posts and not you as the guy I met at the con.

Not to hijack your discussion, but I think you hit an important point. People on here say things to and about people that they would never say face to face. That might be a good rule to use before hitting submit. Would you say that in public to their face?

It would cool off a lot of the hostility. Just my 2 cents.

We've both met Grunherz. He shares my firm committment to physical fitness. I don't think military service would be the most effective use of his talents. He is better off remaining in the private sector and using his intellect and ambition to generate the income and wealth that makes it possible for our military to operate at all. He can probably do a lot more for our nation in that manner than by enlisting.
