ok going really slow now try to follow. from the article: "Ahmed will give a talk at the mosque at Islamic Cultural Centre on Sunday. He is meeting with the Minister of Local Government on Monday, and he is giving a talk on war and terror for the members of the Muslim student union at the University of Oslo on Tuesday."
previous speech of ahmeds: “Suicide bombers represent the real Ummah,” Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed declared in his presidential address at the launch of the Urdu translation of Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammed’s book ‘A new deal for Asia’ on Sunday at a local hotel.

The JI chief said the Ummah was not represented by kings and dictators, but was ‘in the heart beat of every Muslim’. “The Ummah are the people who sacrifice their lives,” he said.

Mr Ahmed said the Ummah was the ‘source of life’ for Muslims and this is why they would not accept ‘American dictators and oppressors’.

get it? want my helmet? your govt is showing support to a terrorist leader. this shouldnt bother you from what ive seen of your attitudes however. now go get some new kneepads and hurry down to the university of oslo!

Ok. listen up. this is prolly something you are not used to from wherever it is you come form, but we have freedom of speach here. this means that people can say what they want. the fact that one representative from one political party decides to listen to what the guy has to say is nothing special.

you can ofcourse draw your own conclusion, but saying that we bow down to terrorists just says something about your how your top floor works.

i see. freedom of speech means you are trusting a known leader of a terrorist org to "tell the unbiased truth" when addressing your college students. freedom of speech does not equal the pathetic lack of ability to discern right from wrong. the university of oslo is welcoming an advocate of suicide bombers as an honored guest speaker. my conclusion is youre coddling with the scum of the earth. my top floor works in the real world not in some gray crap filled haze of moral equivalence. to each his own i guess. your govt is coddling to terrorists. denmark wouldnt admit this scum as a visitor and you would. i guess "denmark = nazi germany" is your next brilliant statement?

Not EXACTLY true. His party and his advisers have put him under EXTREME pressure not to do ANYTHING that might even be loosely construed as supporting Bush. That was stated plainly and clearly in the article in the British paper. His party has demanded that he do nothing at all to support Bush because they want a DEMOCRAT, ANY DEMOCRAT, in the White House. That is their public and stated intent.

It really is sad that Blair has been forced to cave to pressure like that, rather than stand by actions he felt were proper and necessary.

It is even sadder that the British liberals have done something like this in order to influence the election. While they have every right to support whomever they choose, to do it in this manner shows very poor taste and manners.
"I haven't seen Berlin yet, from the ground or the air, and I plan on doing both, BEFORE the war is over."

yes. shouldnt they be allowed that?

"freedom of speech does not equal the pathetic lack of ability to discern right from wrong."

yes it does. freedom of speach means that you can say whatever you want or belive is true.

"the university of oslo is welcoming an advocate of suicide bombers as an honored guest speaker."

they dont advocate anything that at all. EVEN you shold understand that.

"my conclusion is youre coddling with the scum of the earth. my top floor works in the real world not in some gray crap filled haze of moral equivalence."

you can counclude whatever you want... that is your privelidge.

"your govt is coddling to terrorists. denmark wouldnt admit this scum as a visitor and you would. i guess "denmark = nazi germany" is your next brilliant statement?"
