Hey! Come on now! Getting rid of channel 1 was supposed to fix all those problems.

Beet that screenie is from AH1 is it not?

Just curious. I ask because I remember that fellow named pottymouth and he didnt last here more than a day.

The comunity as a whole generaly has enough impact to "weed out" these types.

For the most part I think the sportsmanship of the game is still there. There will be at times a noob on Ch200 who doesnt know or understand that this game isn't about trash talking, the kind that is in your screen shot. When this happens, their talk on open chan is short lived and so are they.

Yes, it's from AH1. Pottymouth was not the guy's real ID. I edited the pic to keep his ID secret because I didn't want him banned on my account. Looking at his scores, he ranked very well in T49 but doesn't appear to have played since under that ID. Checked the BBS - no posts under his game ID.

Here is what Chuck Yeager had to say about the topic at hand:

"There was still others who would fire a burst, then quickly break off; or watch someone else hammer an airplane, then, when the German was already windmilling and going down, dive in and fire a quick burst, then try to share credit for the kill.  I had a guy do that to me.  Believe me, he never did it again."

Back in beta when the Aces High community was maybe 500 - 1000  people, with perhaps 50 - 60 online at any given time. We had time to learn who it was that was around us.

I mean there were like 100 knights that I could count on seeing on a weekly basis.
You could pretty quickly learn who was good, who was so so, who would clear your 6, etc. It became second nature to help those who helped you. And we each learned not to kill steal from each other.   The community quickly learned to police itself mostly through peer pressure.

Multiply that by 1000 and your talking a whole different animal.  Multiply a big black carpenter ant 1000 times then let me see you step on his head & squish him! Can't be done, he'd cut you in half.

Same thing here.  The community has gotten so big you can't possible keep up with who's who. No one cares what your opinion is. No one cares if you don't like kill stealers & swearing.

Aces High has gone from the small rural hamlet to the Big Apple in 5 years.
As such it is incredibly powerfull, ONCE you get it aware of a problem.  But for the most part it is a sleeping giant.

The only solution is for people to stand up & be counted WHEN IT COUNTS!

When its flagrent kill stealing, call em on it on country channel. People will remember. When its swearing and someone else asks them NOT do to that, back that person up.

Squelching a channel is like turning your back, pulling your hood over your head, and blending back into the crowd.

Stand up for what you believe in.  Its not easy, its not always popular. It does get you respected eventually.

Please don`t clutter up DA like this. You never know when the MA is going to crash. DA is for 262/163 races when the MA goes down. That is what it was made for, right? :D

Has nothing to do with honor. Just wasn't worth my time. Handle was "ZZ??" ... forget the last two letters ... I'll know him when I see him again ... trust me. And in his defense, I don't fly as "DoK" ... so I doubt he knew just who he was ticking off.

Cutting in front of someone else, or stealing a kill someone else already crippled, is nothing new. It is in many ways "part of the game" - even though it has no business in a game environment. But using "check 6" to move an countryman out of the way is really weak.

And in ways it speaks to a higher issue which has been broached in recent gameplay discussions. That is that if you don't keep MP gamers challenged, don't keep stirring the pot with new things being added, they will settle at a level of play which requires the least effort to accomplish a task.

Using foul language is not uncommon.  I confess to it in real life - IN APPROPRIATE CIRCUMSTANCES.

I think those who do it in a text box for the team or world to read are just immature.

Guys, not posting the names of the offensive pilots and all around bas tard will not help resolve this thing ever. There is no need to show respect (by keeping name out) to the very tards that do this sort of stuff. If people would post the names, then squad CO's, squadmates and country flyers can help place heat on these players to cut it out. The obviously have no repect for you so why help them hide their secret.

Post names!!!!!! Lets blackball the ones who are over the top like the one that started this post. To say FU on open vox and then private text you abusive treatment is over the top, unnacceptible and he deserves to be recognized!!!!

In some cases, a squadmate or CO may see the post and handle the issue from happening again. I dont believe an FB has or ever would commit such a huge act of disrespect, however if it did happen, I would want to know about it. Think about it. We can use this board to make a difference.

You can solve this real fast, Film every sortie. Then at end of day ersae the ones you don't want, Rename the ones you want to keep. Those that swear over and over send films into HTC.

2nd reason to film every sortie is to learn from mistakes, and from others moves they might make on you. watch some films of where you lost and you will gain advantage next time.

We all know the types your talking about, WE have the Homophobic closet guys who use F*g word 20 times in a sentence. whats a shame is some times I have to squelch own squadmate, Who can not speak without using F$$$. I to have a 6 yearold that loves to watch and play.

I left WARBIRDS because of thier abuses thier, Even thier Cm's  would cuse out my daughter calling her all kinds of names when she shot them down. They knew she was a young lady and the abuses never stoped coming, We had to remove her account.

Hate to see it happen here
