Yea, and he got 19 kills in the 33 hours in a fighter too!  It is a lot tougher for poor under-rated Zazen having to compete with 6, or even 8, friendlies for every kill he gets.  Everyone make sure to tell him how great you know he is so he doesn't feel unappreciated and do something stupid like throw himself off a bridge or something.

What a shame that yours pretty much run the same, given the deep passion you feel making them. :aok

Wow! Maybe HTC could make GV's that end a mission just before a bomb hits take a death and award the kill to the bomber. That's pretty gamey and goofy in my opinion.

No ... you may be onto something there, budro. Make ending missions take time. The canopy slides open or the hatch creaks open while the pilot or driver climbs out of the rig then hits the ground and runs like hell for the cold beer in the o club. Heh.

That's a good idea, wouldn't bother me a bit. Obviously, being able to instantly vanish without any negative repurcussions is not realistic be it in a vehicle or plane (vulcher teasers in fighter or buff that appear at a spawnpoint then disappear before actually getting vulched). I would rather the game become more realistic as a whole, even in this regard. The only reason I do this is because it's stupid not to. The fact remains I would still be as dominating in an Ostwind, the only difference is I would die more often. Generally speaking, the VH is down when I exit, so I am usually not afforded the opportunity to re-up in an Ostwind after exiting anyways.

Hmmm...201 sorties in an Ostwind or gun emplacement and 83 Fighter/Attack sorties....

At least one thing does come across and that is you're obviously  better in a GV than you are in a plane.

Most of my Ostwind sorties last no more than 5 minutes. There's no alting, flying to the fight, engaging, re-alting, and rtb'ing in an Ostwind. You sit there, shoot down all the vulcher wannabe's then end mission, real simple. It's easier for me to be better in an Ostwind, I get free home delivery! In a fighter I have to go hunt my food.

no. the main difference is not that you would die more often. it is that i/we would more often get the kills we deserve for bombing you.

but, no matter.

and as to shooting down planes that are low and slow...

what do you want me to do? let them gain an advantage over me then fight?

they could always up at the next base back and come in  at 20k if they chose too.

my main frustration is not being able to avenge my deaths by upping a hog and bombing you to hell

;)
