I am not “getting back at anyone”. Nor am I teaching my son any such actions or behavior. I don’t know how you arrived at that conclusion Howitzer. If you knew me you would not have posted that. My son and I have had a couple talks about this. He has not seen this thread and I have no intention to showing it to him. Frankly what I was hoping for was a public apology from ZAPP and show “that” to my son. After that my plan was the very next time we were all on (ZAPP, daddog, sondog) was for my son and I to go wing for ZAPP. My son thought that was a great idea. Yet we are missing a key element in this design, an apology from ZAPP.

I think there are many times it would be very appropriate to bring things to the attention of the community. Also there are times it is best to e-mail HTC and have them deal with it. I think this required both since there were many others on range channel that heard his garbage and how he reacted to me when I asked him to stop. Even if just one or two of those that were in range and heard the exchange see this thread they will sit up and take notice that players can’t get away with it all the time. There are limits to asinine behavior and many times the community will deal with their own. I think the majority have made it quite clear where they stand on such an issue.

I am not about vengeance, nor humiliating someone. I am about holding players accountable for their actions. You may not agree with my avenue in dealing with this, but we all have to make our own decisions. I have made mine and ZAPP has made his, to not apologize

Since my first post I have heard from HTC and they have dealt with this. I know that if it were to happen again I would venture a guess ZAPP would no longer be with us. I am satisfied. I am looking forward to flying in his range channel again sometime to see if he has learned his lesson like any good boy.

The "Getting back at someone" was in reference to someone else's comments about the situation, I don't think that is your intention. I know how it is when you get angry at someone... believe me, it happens to me all the time. Sounds like you and your son have it worked out... seems like a pretty smart kid you have there. It would probably stand to reason that Zapp was a little mad himself and that is the way he acted like he did... however that is no excuse for him. I'm assuming he is probably just taking a break from the boards and hasn't seen the thread, hopefully he runs across it. Going through HTC is the best way, and I'm glad you did that... I didn't know you did so that was my reason for my disagreement. Hope to see you up soon Daddog/Sondog

Where does HT advertise this ga,e as not for children...heck my 3 year old loves to try to fly...Young kids lie to watch their parents fly this game too...so we that have kids should have to worry about trying to squelch someone while trying to conduct a flight? I did say in a more simple way now, that schools and parents actually do nothing about a student or teenager cursing, they let it slide...meaning they not doing anything about it from fear of being sued or reprimanded by the school board because some parent feels the need to challenge a decision a teacher has taken toward a fouth mouth brat...so in return they give the assumption that it is ok to do this in public with out any consideration to others........might I add, the school teacher and parent also fears they might be charged with abuse for reprimanding a child /teenager for bad conduct or may fear a punk teenager might do something fatal to them for pointing them out or asking them to behave like an young adult

as for adult people who insist they have a right to curse with out consideration or respect of others, well I take it you probably do do this stuff in game, to put it as Skull12 called me, internet tough guy ( still don't see why he called me that) this is how I view this people who choose such language continously and I would bet a paycheck they would be completely different in a face to face situation.....

as for this thread. 2Bighorn posted the thoughts on this subject by HTC....to me that about wraps it up.....

People who curse on and on in inappropriate places do it for the shock effect, they know it's not appropriate so it serves as an attention getter and, in their minds at least, more intimidating or in control, which is why of course excessive cursing appeals to juveniles so much. What they fail to realize in their small brains is it attracts the same sort of attention as walking around with a wet spot in the wrong place on the front of your pants. The vast majority of people see them as the idiots they are.

Just one of those things that seperates the men from the tards. Let your son know that.
