Yes, you are right. If your parents didn't instill it into you, you will never grasp the concept until someone that "has a face" beats it into you or fires you from a job you like. I'm sure you'll feel "victimized"--it is a plague upon your generation.

I feel sorry for you in a way--you think just because no one is watching, sitting right next to you, you are free to do whatever. Only experience, of which you have little or none, will show you. Or, you could listen to some here--doubtful I know, because of course, you know everything.

Just because something is invisible and intangible to your newb self doesn't mean that it has no existence. Please google the word "ethics."

Then find a clue rake. You will need it because your road will be hard.

I might also mention this is nothing to do with chess pieces Skull, loyalty is to do with being loyal to the game and to the community,  Skull you yourself are loyal, and you honor this game, if you did not, then you wouldn't be a forum leader of the AHTerrains site and you would not devote so much time on these boards nor would you make skins for the community, so you are just misunderstanding, I wouldn't call you a dweeb , no sir, I think of you as a young whippersnapper that is just starting to be molded by your community peers.........one day you will be thanking us and telling youngsters the same thing we are voicing to you

Skull      ( and good luck in the future ) it's gonna be 10 times as worse for you  ROFL

Yes, you still don't get it, do you?

Be content with the knowledge that we find you amusing--if for nothing else, we too had your level of idiocy once. The difference being that the idiocy didn't last til our teens because our older siblings or parents demonstrated how the world works.

I forwarded this thread to my college age daughters. Their response? "Oh, no...!"

Hopefully you'll figure it out. You seem to have a decent head on your shoulders otherwise.

TC...Horn...

I had the same discussion with a kid called "guru" when AW first started on AOHell. Met up with him a few years later on Gamestorm, he was in college then. He told me that he finally understood what I was taking about. Perhaps we can hope for the same from our young friend here. :)

funny thing Oops er Shane, you came to mind when I typed that, although I know with out a doubt you respect a well fought fite win or lose, and  you are a good person beyond your taunts...... you have also shown good sportsmanship in the past....hope this doesn't spoil your image you have flaunted upon everyone else...lol

you are Shane, you taunt with  precise intriguing choice picked words, you do not stoop to use the vulgarity that some do and there is a certian artform that you posess in flaming that is dieing out..people today are so generic with their taunts and flames  and say the same ole stuff these days.........you are still a breath of fresh air.......

yep NB, Horn, here is to hoping the younger crop of sim flyers learn and pick up on it sooner than later........

I've been known drop an occasional F-Bomb on range channel when i get really frustrated...and i always feel like a Tool for doing it after i do. TrueKill , I gotta tell ya buddy , your wrong on this one. Curse all you want just dont push the range channel button when you do it. If you happen to slip up and somebody calls you on it you need to appologize and watch your mouth.

I would just love to know why all the whiney buggers that spew forth on range vox think I give a toss, or am fascinated by petty grievances - no matter how strongly expressed.

To me moaning and swearing on range vox is equivalent to dialling a random number and pouring a torrent of vitriol into the ear of the unlucky recipient because you stubbed your toe.

2BigHorn hit it right on the head and from the source. That's the bottom line.
This is not a game for adults... there is no age limit, so in fact you might say it's a family game. Seeing we have a word filter is a pretty big clue that voice should be treated the same way, with the possible exception of private or possibly squad vox. ANY occurance like this should be filmed and sent to HTC for them do deal with, putting the final nail in the offenders coffin, drunk or not. Miscues are mistakes and if an apology is offered, let it slide, this was not the case it seems. I give many a player an apology after I've acted like a moron. Most times it's accepted but sometimes I get a back, which happened recently. I showed my true colors as did the person who gave in return for an apology he deserved. Unfortunately when this happens you can't start the film and get what has allready happened. It would be nice, but most likely abused, that if a certain person is squelched a certain number of times by the whole community he is automatically muted or tracked somehow so it can be dealt with.
TrueKill, comparing the talk in this game to the people who fought in battle with their life on the line is apples and oranges. The two aren't even remotely similar.
Skull, I hate to say it, but the more of your posts I read the less I understand them. It almost seems you post for the sake of posting and using smiley faces rather than to say anything of value.
The players who try to fix this rather than just sweep it under the carpet with a squelch are stand up people, we need more of them.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Of course there is class online!  You don't need to know what somebody looks like to know if they have class or not.  It soon becomes very clear in the way they speak and otherwise express themselves.  To be continually cursing and swearing, whether in text or on vox, shows no class at all and only causes upset to others.
