"We have a CON to handle and would like to possibly have a little fun...."

Hope it's a great time.  Wish I could have attended.

Why not just remove the OT forum till Monday?  Seriously.

Can't argue with that...hell, shut the BB down for the duration of the con if need be.  People who travelled all that way deserve your attention, and I'm sure y'all need a drink or three or four or... :D

Westy, that would be extreme.  I would rather not have to do anything and trust people would just have good solid discussions about topics, without having to resort to using inappropriate materials.

Seems there will always be those that just cannot leave it alone though.  OY!

SOB, Rip, thanks.  You know how these things go, but will try to have some fun.  Heck, I am bringing my own computer.  Hope I have a chance to use it.  :D

Skuzzy, sending you email to re-activate my account. Can I do this online to get my old handle?  I want to be sure to be online with you this weekend in between soccer games!  (And the rains have began, more time indoors this time of year)

Skuzzy, you could always give me the ability to remove links, I'd work on the weekends when ever I'm on the forums, and I'd do it for free..

And trust me, I wouldn't abuse it, it's the least I can do besides subscribing to AH for the work you guys have done for us...

PS:

A new computer would be nice.. ;)

I am enjoying the lack of post a link with little comment type posts.

However would not a solution to this problem be allowing people who have made a certain number of posts and been on the group a set amount of time vB code privliges? Ie you need to earn the right to post links?

the person who posted the link to the beheading video had @1400 posts. i knew there would be wrath over that because if you cant link to guys shooting rodents then linking to a guy getting his head cut off while living was way too far. just think of the phone calls they would have gotten if some teenagers folks heard that their kid saw it on the AH BBS. i'm surprised they didn't pull the plug on the o'club for awhile.

The link was to a site where the videos were offered. That is not the same as directly linking to the video.

Someone would have to go there and then click on the links to see them. I get porno spam email that is the same. I don't blame my ISP for corrupting my family. To get the content you have to go to the site, subscribe then download it. However if someone posted pictures that were under a misleading header then I have a problem with that.

There is a difference.

Hit the quote button... it inserts the code. It's still easier than CTRL-C, CTRL-V, but it's not as pretty.

Cry me a river Skuzzy.

You cant have fun at the con because of the O-club?

You need to step back from the computer and take a vacation.

You are seeing things. Or reading to much into things.
