With the recent abuses perpetrated in this forum, we elected to disable them.  It is only in the O'Club for right now.

Any chance at bringing 'em back and just punishing the abusers?  <-- since I'm me, I'd like to make it clear that's serious, and not sarcastic.

That's un-American. In this country, we like to restrict everyone. ;)

I agree with the sentiment ramzey.  Unfortunately, it is always a day late to correct an abuser, as they knowingly post after we have closed for the day.
They are even so bold as to state it in the post.  Banning is just a lousy way to deal with the situation.  It is, at best, temporary and it also prevents legitimate users from reaching the board due to random IP addresses.

The best way to deal with this situation is for everyone to accept we will not tolerate abuse of our board.  If you do not agree with the rules as they are posted, then simply leave.

People can flame me all they like.  I am just the messenger doing something that should not have to be done.

This may be temporary.  We have a CON to handle and would like to possibly have a little fun while we are at it.  Those predisposed to ruin it can look somewhere else.
