Still seems pretty easy to me. Ignore a bad link, ban the abuser, and don't make the BBS look like a Harry High School run BBS representing a Pro Company.

Just saying.

Windem up, and watch them go... Zzzzzingg!

Im not a pitiful little hopeless loser, I love Jesus, Fatty, and SOB.

I like pancakes with peanutbutter best, while listening to DIO. Sometimes Slayer, and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" makes me cry every time.

Weird, I know.

Edit- I also believe in Wisconsin, the Packers, and Ted Nugent. There- I'm done.

LOL, I'm pretty sure Creamo is a treasure, insults and all.  And I'm not just saying that because he loves me . . . well, maybe just a little.

The best you can offer is to make pitiful juvenile personal attacks. Perfect example of why Skuzzy has to moderate the board. Because pitiful little hopeless losers like you can't act like they have any decency or maturity about them. Thank you again for being a shining example of exactly what is wrong with the boards that causes the staff to resort to heavy handed moderation. You are truly an inspiration to every low brow loser everywhere.

Virgil,

Maybe you should look at what you were saying before and just posted. Creamo made a comment on the board and then you let fly with the personal insults yourself.

If your going to preach about a higher level of standards on a bbs atleast try and keep to them yourself.

Oh, perhaps you missed the part where Creamo made a personal attack on me, or maybe you just ignored it (here's a hint : "captain knee pad") (uh, would you like me to explain the connotations, or can you figure that out for yourself?)

Here in the South, we call responses like Creamo's personal attack "hit dog hollers", meaning he felt he fit the description in the original post (probably good judgement on his part) so he felt he had to respond, with a personal attack, of course. I didn't start the personal attack, I merely responded in kind, which in itself was wrong, I even admit that. Perhaps you might consider reading a little closer before you make assumptions.

YO Roy "Skuzzy" Neese!!

<> sir, GREAT job at the CON. i dont know about the rest of the attendees, but i was not "in a proper place" to visit the o'club the whole time down there (and i think you tried Guns Mead so you knwo what im talking about LMFAO)...

sorry to see you had to take time out while there to moderate the BBS.

really enjoyed talking with you,and sorry we didn't hook up to work out that SB problem then using my PC as an example on saturday.

PS to 1/2 the BBS guys, have you meet Skuzzy in person? if not, dude he's a cool guy. one of those "im here to help you" people that are rare. God forbid i ever get on his bad side, and lose an open dialogue with such a helping fellow.
I don't know what to put here yet.

Yes, I certainly did. Creamo decided to take a personal shot at me, and I did the same thing in return, proving my point perfectly. I could have, and should have, ignored it. Human nature at its worst. I'm at least partially human, so sue me.

But then I wasn't insulting Skuzzy, or anyone else, because they were forced to do their job. You couldn't GIVE me his job. And this thread, my reply included, is a perfect example of why. So you won't see me be so arrogant as to insult him for doing a job I wouldn't have. I find it a more than a little arrogant, assinine, and absurd for anyone, especially those who are at times guilty of the very offenses that force moderation, myself included, to insult Skuzzy or tell him how to do his job. It's like running three redlights and then calling the cop who writes you a ticket a pig for doing his job. It's just plain stupid.

The way I look at it, and having been guilty of causing it at times myself, the people on this board have brought heavy handed moderation on themselves, and they have no one to blame but themselves. Hey, they just put rules up a month ago and made them sticky. And still people are arrogant and stupid, and ignore the rules. Damned near everyone on these boards has at least posted in a thread they knew was unacceptable. Even all those "IN" posts are part of the problem. Everyone here knows damned well people post those threads just to see how many people with either reply in kind, or reply with "IN", in some form or another. Everyone knew this was coming, and few changed their habits. So now everyone gets to live with the consequences. Well, ain't that just tough.

I have never posted a thread that was unacceptable, at least I got that much. Hard to tell though what your quoting, as the BBS is hosed, and looks like chit, a bunch of ^^^^<>[] garbage the moderator insisted on. Whatever HTC wants to convey.

Me? I'd take that job as a hobby, but I went to college. Still, OK, you post a beheading video, you are banned. I go to the bar. You post porn, I ban you and I go to work. I come home, and sleep all day. The BBS isn't all fluffied up. Your sig is too long?  I say "Hey, your sig is too long." Then I make a samich. If you don't make it smaller, I make a chocolate malt, then make sure your a good person, and made your sig smaller. If not? I ban you.

Pretty much a good thing, and easier than my normal workload.

I could get blasted on Pabst and F up the BBS just to make a point... well, no. Thad be stupid.

Am I hired?

Read Skuzzy's posts above about why banning doesn't work. Turns into "whack the mole". Causes other legitimate members to have problems logging on.

Ever made an "IN" post? Ever posted a personal attack? Ever made any post at all in a thread that was deemed unacceptable, when you knew it would be? You don't have to be the originator of a bad thread to be part of the problem.

Evidently Skuzzy was only one part of the decision to turn off vB code. Maybe even a small part of it. meaning it came from "upstairs" (note where Skuzzy said he was "the messenger"). That means that Skuzzy was the person who executed the policies of someone else. So if you had to do his job, you couldn't very well do it much different after all. That is, if you wanted to keep the job. Not so easy to do things a lot differently when someone else is telling you what they want done and how. Even if you have some part in those decisions.

Looks like you don't get the job, despite the "college education".

I still don't see what disabling the vB code did other than make the posts broke.

People still attempted to quote each other, and others still tried to post [img] tags for images.

Maybe it was to find out who the retards were and block them from the BBS?
