About the new TV commercial
« on: October 02, 2004, 07:03:30 AM »
One thing I noticed aboyt the old commerical was that it has a Bf109E attacking a formation of B17s. Although this may have happened on a few occatios overall it was not too common.  Not in real life and certainly not in AH - if you wanna bring that up. ;)

So maybe if we have a new commecial with a B17 attack we could use more appropriate planes to attack the B17s, like Fw190A, Bf109G or Bf110G..  Maybe best to use the new design AH2 Bf109G6 model..

:)

Thats what we need, a new commercial to attract more players:rolleyes:.

Then we can all play in 1 big arena (all of us exept the 20 that fly in the CT), on huge maps. I understand that HTC is a company, & companies need to profit. But I honestly feel like this game, and the games before it were much more fun for me when there wasnt such a high player  base.

Many people have given good examples of why this circumstance exists. All I can say is that, gameplay seems to be directly connected to the player base. The higher the player base, the less skill/effort the players seem to display.

I think it would be a smart idea to work on establishing a way to encourage our current players to "fly the game" instead of "game the game", before we invite more problems in.

IMO, if we get another huge wave of Air Quake mentality players, it will completely ruin the game for me, and likely many others (So long Lupo).

I like to drink myself...

But more typical MAIN senario is a match up of 109-10 and p38

0r 190 and p51...

just my 2 cents...

well, you could sell your plane and get food stamps if you had to...the important thing is to make the game fun and cap the number of players, for someone else's sake..

So Anton, do really feel that they should do without so this game is more fun for you?  Not saying that they all live in the slums, but hell you have to understand that they are here to make money, not to make certain ONE person has a good time. Do you also understand that the more money that they pull in will in turn help the game improve because they can spend more on the game?

parker, of course I dont expect anyone to change anything to please myself alone. But if you are convinced I am the only one who feels this way, I can assure you that is not the case.

I am all for making a profit, I am sure Hitech eats just fine now, & would continue to do so even if he decided to focus more on keeping the game fun in addition to keeping it popular & profitable.  (you do know what an RV8 is right?)

I just dont want to see gameplay deteriorate any more. That, as a customer, is MY bottom line.:aok

Capping the player limit will in no way effect game play and is a sure way of driving an online game out of business.

Anton, I feel you are out of line with what you said.

HTC is a company, and like all companies, they need to make a profit to stay in business.  They are going to put out a new commercial to attract new players, which doesn't mean theyre going to be "Air Quake" people who care nothing about anything except for blowing things up.

Think of it in a different perspective.  With new players comes a lot that can be added to the community, such as skinners, terrain makers, people who can help with computer problems, etc.

Now, yes, HT is probably not on the lower end of the spectrum financially, but please.  Yes he owns an RV8 but, even with the little I know of him, I can almost guarantee you that its not the only thing he does with his money.  Everyone has to make a living.  HT does it with Computers and Aces High.  Give him a break.  He and the whole HTC crew work their arses off to provide you and hundreds of others with a service and a form of entertainment.  If you dont like it, then theres an easy answer that Im sure we both know.

Unless you've lived a day in his shoes, or anyone else's that you beat down, then keep your insulting thoughts to yourself.
