come die in CT
the ratio of dweebs to decent sticks is better than MA, due to its low numbers
CT can always use another target :)
seriously - your post had to be a troll attempt
of course they want it to grow, its value to increase - maybe one day sell it off for a trillion dollars to gates & co - so what? if they didn't - they'd be insane
Ain't that the reason for creating it in the first place? Or was it suppose to be your private entertainment ....
what number should MA be capped at - 100, 200, 300 ??
it only takes one whiner to ruin a room, channel, or bbs thread...
====

orignal post..

Grunz has a point
never thought the old commercial did AH justice
- may I suggest bikinis, music, beach .. oh yeah an AH2 plane or two :)

anyone actually think AH2 is the only project HTC are working on and making money from???

:lol

subcontrating is a great way to make money.
some companies see the success of AH, and gets HTC to do them some code. simple.

And come on HT, you cant be short of food! thats almost too funny.

but im not against the advert, infact i have a good film

Bring in the new players, i say.  but force mandatory training for free trial week. teach ethics and ACMSA etc.  make em newbie fresh meat, but not morons.

and give us more toys, as Morphdweeb says

Dont get me wrong-

I dont dislike Dale or his game, in fact I have spoken highly of him for being able to create the game & have it be so successful. I think he tries to be as fair as possible.  I feel his response was lacking.

I know there are many players that feel gameplay has in fact deteriorated quite alot in the last 4 years, as numbers increased.  I also know that there were a great number of players who stayed with AW after AH1 opened, and experienced an increase in gameplay with the reduced player base.

The whole point of my statement is that I dont want to see gameplay drop any more than it has. I dont want an increase in players to mean an increase in the size of the horde that attacks undefended bases. I dont want an increase of player base to mean an increase in the number of players who wont fight 2 fronts.

I'm all for more guys who arent looking for "Air Quake". But thats not what we have been getting lately.

Well, if one's goal in life is to play a WW2 aircraft combat simulation with hardly any players, Warbirds is still available. ;-)

At least for now...

Remind that we do NOT need any movies of you fondling or molesting livestock as that will turn down most mainstream players. We need to let themknow lightly that goes on in game with certain players, some wear theirs and some well... enough has been said I think :D

Its up to the players to make the current game more fun. A guy can give you a field, bats, gloves, balls and rules, but if people are too lazy to form a team and work together, its gonna suck.

The game cant be 100% great all the time. Ive yet to see one that is online. I recommend recruiting groups of people who think like you do and hold nightly or weekly meetings in the CT rather than the MA.

It'd be cool if they made one section of the commercial for each type of gameplay.
One for mass furballing, another for dueling, another for historical CT combat, another for carpet milking and general blowing **** up, another for just flying around in squad formations, GV ops, CV support etc.

I tend to agree with Anton's first post. It is clear that the gameplay has reached the point that I predicted it would reach in the absence of any sort of rules or structure. People pooh-poohed the idea of a game with "rules" or "structure", and it led to all kinds of whines along the lines of "waah waah waah waah waah waah waah only have 1 hour to play waah waah waah historical squad waah waah waah more choices waah waah it's my $14.95 waah waah...". Finally the ENY limiter came out - maybe too little too late? And the whining escalated. Reminded me of a poker game in which a guy walks away from the table if the hand he gets dealt has no kings or aces.

Maybe a lot of new blood is arriving, but what's the good of that if the old hands get fed up and leave?

neglect? yeah right.  Ki84 and T34 and renewed short dev cycles sure are neglecting the old MA players.

The dumb-as-bricks-strategy anti-gameplay lemmings are to blame first of all.
