Ya, I was wondering how long that would take.. I suppose I wrote that wrong..

I meant to say that according to my understanding Cheney was only at 2 Senate meetings in 4yrs and have yet to find any info on it..  If he was only at 2 meetings hes still 'roundabout' lying because he himself was not there.

But sure, I lied.. Good thing I'm not running for POTUS or VP or you'd have me!! Seems your more worried about my lie than Cheney's?? Why is that you suppose??

"People confuse us for a news show often - that either is a scathing indictment on the state of press coverage in our times, or a scathing indictment on the quality of humour in the show. I like to think it's a little of both."

-John Stewart

guess that's the right quote ...

anyway ... it's good coming from the Daily Show

With reguards to Cheneys attendance.Even if true it isnt nearly as important that he attend as it is for Edwards.
For reasons I've already mentioned.

Ok you lied, so what? I dont care if you lied any more then Cheney or Edwards .

so there.. liar :p

I read this morning that Cheney was there.... jeeze I forget, but it was 4 times tops. Quite likely 2 or 3. He hasn't been there at all this year.

He made it sound like it was some annoying ritual to have to spend every damn Tuesday there.

But as far as Cheney's lies go, I don't see what the big deal is over it. Just more smoke.

[edit]

Twice is correct.

I reakon its not that big of a deal. I was only pointing out the fact.  He could have made his valid point without the lie just as well..

If Edwards told such a lie, it would be the next damning soundbite.

Is there a difference in saying something you know not to be true and saying something that might not come true? When we say all politicians lie, sure they do. It is always over promise under deliver. But is that the same thing? I'm really confused on this one..

Thats my reasoning.. I dont think they should ever just be accepted.. Not lies like that! That is just too bold and shows an excessive amount of contempt for the american public...

Yeah, ya know, I agree with ya....

There's all sorts of lies.

Many mistatements are considered lies. In reality they don't mean much. Yet often they are distorted to become some.... monster.

Others are seemingly small and trivial lies...

Yet, sometimes in the trivial lies, you can see in them something much more revealing. More strange.

The reason, in my opinion, that Cheney gets away with so much, is because when compared to everything Cheney says and has said, the small ones just pale in comparison... It's like they aren't even there.

You're absolutely right - if Edwards lied like Cheney lied on Tuesday, it would be such grist for the mill.

So... It is one hell of an accomplishment when you've risen to the level that you cannot be hurt by lies, even the telling ones, because of the sheer volume of them. It's something else.

Yea Nash, I guess the whole world is nothing but "gay" "'tards" because they aren't as sensative and empathetic as you. The only thing worse than a liar is a hypocrite.

I nominate you as DNC poster child. You're a hypocrite and not a citizen - you fit the mold.

One of these things is not like the other.

What does your quote have to do with what you followed it with?

Oh, allow me to elaborate. Because in your sensitive quest to save the down trodden, you use things like "You're gay" or "You're a 'tard." Its a logical inaconsistancy that anyone who had empathy would use such tactics. That would make the person a hypocrite.

Not hard to do at all, but I respect your rise to mediocrity. Keep trying - I 'm respecting and pulling for you.
