first I should make it clear that I think she's a nut.

but who would actually do the deciding as to what is 'the wrongful issue', and which side is the right side of any issue?

her past deeds won her some respect, and made her voice a bit louder around the world.  she earned it.  it's a standard perk of fame.

  what she has to say now will take away some of that respect and her voice will likely become a bit quieter.  

the problem takes care of itself, without giving anyone the power to decide what is 'right thinking'.

why would you think that?  diseases that hit certain ethnic groups harder than others or groups that have more immunity to certain diseases have been around for quite awhile (much longer than AIDS anyway).

Seems that anyone with a little commons sense oughta see that a virus engineered nearly 25 years ago could be decoded today with all the advancements in medical technology since. Paranoid beyond all reason to imagine that medical researchers throughout the world would participate in this supposed giant conspiracy. Who the hell awards these nobel prizes anyhow?

AIDS is decimating some countries in Africa, this is true.  But, it is not the fault of white men, nor is it the result of some diablolical plan.

It falls to the fact that the African people are to a large degree not monagimous, but rather promiscuous and choose to succumb to base primal urges, having sex with everyone they can.  Lacking the education about STDs and methods to practice safe sex, nor the religious guidance to maintain a commited relationship to one person, they are put at high risk of AIDS and other STDs.

No, blaming whitey isn't accurate, accepting the reality of the cause of the spread of AIDS is the answer.

Sad thing is that it'd be still dangerous to those who created it and I doubt that would be a satisfactory.

Even so it would have to be created from an already existing virus and it would have to be very precise work or otherwise it would be just a mutation and there would be no immunity from anyone.
I doubt back then that was possible with viruses...

Americans and europeans have also been present for quite a while in africa, causing africans to develop immunity to quite similar diseases.
So it would further lower the casualties.. at least when compared to the 'biological warfare' against indians in america, where indians were infected with a disease which was totally unknown to them from before.

Currently like one in what... thousands? has immunity to HIV, regardless of race and it doesn't have links to any other known viruses.

Is she saying that HIV was created to kill black people? Can't see that in the article. Seems to be saying that HIV was man made in the West, hence the headline. Otherwise I'm sure the headline would be 'Nobel peace Laureate claims HIV deliberately created to exterminate blacks'.

Seems some like a nice, comfortable straw man argument to vent over.

So her saying that black people were dying the most from aids and  saying that aids was made in the west for the purpose of mass extermination of people is evidence of her not linking the two together...

I need to point out though that nowhere does she claim that AIDS is a bio-weapon directed towards black people. Only that she thinks it is man made, and that it is killing more blacks than anyone else.

Everything else is just conclusion jumping by the usual suspects.

Roll your eyes all you want. You remind me of one of the self-righteous brothers from a Harry Enfield sketch. Shame you won't understand that, but rest assured that if you caught a clip of it you would know exactly what I mean.

While she might be blaming the West for creating the virus, she is not saying it was created for the express purpose of exterminating the black race.
