Sadly, I think this does not bode well for the nation. I'm thinking this could be worse than 2000, and that the nation will be more divided than ever.
I'd be surprised if Kerry launches a legal barrage. Maybe the party will - but if it's more than one state I can't see it. Both candidates were really classy today - saying it was "in the voters hands." No last minute mud-slinging. I think they both realize that dragging this through the courts for anything less than a repeat of Florida would do just so much damage.
Looking at the map of how states are lining up, though ... damn ... it could be map from a civil war the way things are clustered.
Assuming Bush wins he has a big, big job uniting this country. He better really try to understand why there's such hatred for him (and Cheney), and why it's clustered the way it is. And please don't chime in with that "liberal" crap ... because that ain't what's behind it and you know it.
