P-61 (4 Hispano's, 4 .50 cals in a turret, 2 tails, 'nuff said)

That's still a 1943 bird though.  Hardly fair to the RAF fans.  Interesting that the Spit XIV is perked but the D9 is not, yet they were in essence responses to each other.

I dont know about calling an LST a fast boat.

One of the things our guys used to like to say "L-S-T" stood for is "Large Slow Targets" LOL

But it would be nice to be able to get tanks ashore
