Congrats to Toad & Nash, you've started the most inane argument in the history of this BBS.  Or at least as far back as I can remember (which is last Tuesday).
Three Times One Minus One.  Dayum!

Besides, in the election aftermath I've only seen one Democrat that had it figured out.

That was John Edwards:

Quote
"We can't be a party of elites and intellectuals. People have to believe we're on their side...People have this instinctive radar for that. They know whether you respect them. They know whether you respect their way of life."

Interesting that the Bush-voter red-stater from Tarkio, Missouri pretty much said that same thing, albeit in a lot more words, in his editorial.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

You'll have to ask Edwards to cry you a river, I guess. He's the guy that figured out the Dems problem, not me.  ;)

Oh yeah... call me any name that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

I assure you, being name-called doesn't even register with me anymore.

No, you accused me about whining about people calling me names.

Which is not in the least true. But you knew that when you started this silliness.

Suck it up for a sec.

You came out of the blue to post a letter by "an everyday guy working stiff in the red state heartland," in your words, who is pissed at being called a loser or whatever.

I know the leg this particular beast is standing on. It's made out of straw. Sounds freaking GREAT though.... 'Oh the lowly working class getting slapped by the man.' .... It's so ridiculous.

Way to get behind it. I'm so sure you'll go far with it. What a great cause.

I'm sorry, but the response of these folks can't be taken seriously. They're dissing everything and everybody I hold dear, and all I want to do is giggle.

Jeeze... Yeah I read it Toad. And I ignored the weird bits just for you. But no... that wasn't good enough, was it?

Okay... redux:

"an everyday guy working stiff in the red state heartland" - Toad.

What does this everyday whiner say? I dunno... maybe Toad can highlight something. Ah there we go:

" They're dissing everything and everybody I hold dear, and all I want to do is giggle."

Okay.... Lemme get this straight....

No! Better yet... Picture it. Some wheat hauler pig farmer cry baby 'oh woe is me' chump says: "They're dissing everything ..."

Whoah.... Back up. What was that?

"They're dissing everything ..."

It must be a result of some weird sinus ear crap due to all the blue-like jet setting that's causing me to miss this... Say it again?

"They're dissing everything... "

Okay this cry-baby piss his shorts overalls wearin' weed tugger says "They're dissing everything."

That's just... funny as hell. But - run with it dude.

I just found it odd that they whine because nobody gave them any cannon fodder. Then when I posted anything relatively close, instead of dissceting it, they whined about it. Jeez, make up your mind.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

So you are whining about them whining?

rpm that's the whole thing.

Making up their mind doesn't matter.

Thissa way, thatta way. Same diff.

They just wanna argue. To feel the outrage. To rail against... erhm... actors, or Europeans... anything really.

It just doesn't matter. Defending breathes a whole new vitality. If there is nothing to defend against, they will create something to defend against. Sean Penn (I mean, give me a break).... Or perhaps, babies in Norway. There's no end to it. Always something. Else.

I swear there's gotta be some psychological explanation for it. It's well outside the bounds of mere politics. It's.... personal. In the brain. Needs desires fears wants etc.

Me?

I realize it now. And, I've decided to stop feeding their monkey.

They want to argue? Hello... they don't give a rats arse about your facts. It turns out that they just want to argue - to argue. To win. It lights them up.

Like crack addicts to crack, I aint gonna feed them no more.

Take your monkey and go hike.
