Vasectomy
« on: December 17, 2004, 04:24:41 PM »
Do any of you know first hand what its like?  After things heal, does everything feel and pretty much work the same?  (Excluding the obvious absence of little invisible swimmers)  Can you even tell that you’ve had one?  Also, how much pain is there and how long does it last?  Any regrets?

Oh good grief guys, it's not that big a deal. They give you one of these to put your apple in after the surgey so you can go about your day to day business. Simple procedure really.

Had it done on a Friday, and played keeper on my indoor soceer team the following Tuesday.

Follow the instructions for the first three days TO THE LETTER!  DO NOT LIFT ANYTHING HEAVIER THAN YOUR HAND during that time, and you will heal quickly.

Also wear compression shorts for 2 or so weeks after and all will be good.

As far as everything working, I was a stud before and I'm even more of a stud now.

No regrets.

What stringer says....BUT what I can say is that effects every man differently.  ME it took about a week and a half before I was really mobile again.  I know a guy that was playing basketball the next day.

Basically it was like this.....I chose to be awake.

The Doc scared the watermelon out of me by putting the biggest needle I've ever seen on the seringe but I soon realized that's just for sucking out the pain killer.

THE SMALL needle OTOH inserted into each of my nuts a few times felt like somone had vicegrips on my nads.  IT FRIGGEN HURT!!!!!!!!!

That was pretty much the only pain I had and watched the whole procedure wich was kinda cool.

The funniest part was having to "tea bag" my nuts in warm water to aid the stitches in falling out.  Hope I've been helpfull Good Luck

:aok

OH PS:  after everything is normal again EVERYTHING IS normal again if ya catch my drift ;)

Yup, grapefruits.  My friend's dad sat in an easy chair in pain, wearing a mumu for a week.  So, uh, good luck with the surgery, buddy! :p

I know a dude who did it...  Iced his groin for a few days, ached for a couple of weeks, seems normal afterwards.

Another guy I know who did it regretted it and tried to have it reversed a few years later.  Reversal seemed to hurt more, pain lasted longer, dunno if it was successful though.  Oh yea, reversal costs more too, couple of grand IIRC.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Had mine done .. it feels like being nutted for the entire procedure.  Quite uncomfortable for 24-48 hours.  I had a slight side effect .. scar tissue around a suture prevented it from dissolving and left me with a 'tumor' for a while.

As for now.  Everything works, but at times when my boys shift from working or even walking causes that 'gutache' like I was nutted.  Rarely, but at times when having sex the same thing happens.
