I'm posting your responces because you and your thread are going down!

Nice job, I wonder if anything will make them think, however.

"...but when it's to keep myself alive, I will stop at nothing to survive."

Yeah, that chicken was really a threat to you. You definitely needed to shoot it to survive.

You sad, pathetic, robot. The people here *are* thinking for themselves and not accepting the status quo as correct just because it is the status quo. You're the one who is not taking a stand.

  SpitfireV-eggieLover   12/22/04 4:33 PM
That chicken wasn't the threat, my hunger was.

  Lrr11201   12/22/04 4:39 PM
Don't say 'You' as if everyone on PETA is the same person. Our opinions differ in many situations. You're generalizing everybody's opinions. What you said wasn't true for everyone. Sure, it may be true for a fraction of Peta members, but that doesn't mean all of us think that. The reason I'm here on Peta is because I htink of every living, breathing creature equally. You're acting like they aren't equal, and you're acting like humans are above the rest.

  SpitfireV-eggieLover   12/22/04 4:41 PM
Intelectually, yes. We are "above the rest".

  Lrr11201   12/22/04 4:41 PM
Oh, and, you didn't have to eat that chicken. I understand in the stone age, and many years ago, there weren't very many alternatives to meat, but now, there are very very many alternatives. You didn't have to eat that poor innocent, deffenceless chicken. You could've eaten something else. Think of the possibilities. Imagine if you were that poor chicken. Just imagine. How would you feel?

  Lrr11201   12/22/04 4:42 PM
Intellectually? i don't give a **** about if we're intellectually above others. That doesn't mean we have more of a right to live. (Sorry about the profanity, and the rudeness. but...ugh.)

  SpitfireV-eggieLover   12/22/04 4:49 PM
No? So were all supposed to live together with veg diets? Say that to the animals who's lives are dependant on other animals for food.

  Lrr11201   12/22/04 4:54 PM
That's not what I said. I mean, now, people don't need meat. Back then, they needed meat a lot more than they do now. And also, I believe no animal has more of a right to live. I wouldn't mind as much if the animal everyone ate would eat us if it were in our position, but since teh animals we eat are herbivores, that makes me kinda mad. We're eating animals that wouldn't harm us at all. That was kinda off topic, but whatever.

  SpitfireV-eggieLover   12/22/04 5:05 PM
Well, if some animals were created to eat other animals, why is it not right that humans (which as you already know have carnivouros type teeth) cant eat other animals? It seems as if these herbivours are OK to eat, right?

And also, I was born into eating meat. If I was born into eating plants, then you would probably have a pretty good arguement over me.

Someone should register as: PETA2_ADMINSTRATOR (missing an I, but they wouldn't notice)  I think their registration is automated:

Then post that PETA demands that all vegan can for now on eat only their own feces.

Several significant research organizations are coming out with undisputable evidence that says a strictly vegitarian or vegan diet can be harmful. I'm in shock.....

I was pondering one night and was wondering how you feel about pearls. I wouldn't use them... both because of where they come from and because I just don't like them. I just don't often hear people talk about pearls, and I even hear people talk about how cruel sponges are... What do you think?

  [tWitch]   12/22/04 5:34 PM
For some reason that just doesn't strike me as cruel, although I'm not sure why...Maybe its just because I don't know how pearls are acquired, and clams just...I don't know. Nevermind.

I think they're bad because you have to irritate a clam to get them.

  Sutekh   12/22/04 5:46 PM
Pearls are created when something gets caught in an oyster's body. The oyster will add layers around that irritant and creates a pearl. People basically farm pearls by putting things like beads or other irritants into the oyster, then opening the oyster in a few years to get the pearl out.

  zyclone12   12/22/04 5:51 PM
i dont like pearls. its cruel to the oysters.

  [tWitch]   12/22/04 5:52 PM
Thanks for the information! I really didn't know that, but now I do!

  Iluvsheep   12/22/04 6:20 PM
Pearls occur naturally... I think even if they are raised in a bed, the oysters don't know the difference. I don't see the problem... I'm planning on giving my girlfriend a pearl necklace for X-mas.

Iluvsheep -

A pearl is an ulcer that is formed when an irritant, such as a parasite, enters an oyster, who responds by coating it with nacre (a crystalline substance that gives pearls their luster). Stress is what prompts an oyster to secrete nacre (just like stress creates human ulcers).

Because pearls naturally form in only one in 10,000 oysters and because the creation of a pearl can take up to three years, pearl-makers have devised a process called “culturing,” or cultivating, that allows them to exploit oysters faster and cheaper.

Culturing involves surgically opening each oyster shell and inserting an irritant in the oyster. Freshwater pearls are cultured by inserting another oyster’s mantle tissue. Saltwater pearls have beads and another oyster’s mollusk tissue inserted. Fewer than half of the oysters may survive this process.

Cultivators further stress the oysters by suspending them in water in a cage, washing their shells, moving them around in different waters, and raising and lowering their cages to subject them to changing water temperatures.

After the pearls are extracted from the oysters, one-third of oysters are “recycled” and put through the culturing process again. The others are killed and discarded.

For those concerned about the environment, there is another reason to avoid pearls. Aquaculture has contributed to destruction of natural pearl oyster beds from pollution and overharvesting.

Of course, with so many modern pearl imitations, as well as other kinds of jewelry, it’s easy to do without pearls.

Along with Waffles major attack towards their leader, I propose we even start a revolution within the PETA organization!

The plan:
Use of extreme Propoganda and the influence of the minority.
In other words, were going to emulate the Aces High BBS!

Ok! Eskimo, myself, and many others have tried desperately to shed light into these mindless so-called "vegetarians" and "animal rights activists", but these attempts failed due to the lack of intelligence the PETA community currently attains. Though this is NO cause for retreat! We have brought attention to the issue and many "vegans" are turning to their leaders!

We will use our numbers as a minority to change the opinion of the whole. Act as if you agree with our spies who are speaking against PETA's Anit-Arguement clause! One-by-one these "vegans" will start to use their birth given attribute... intelligence. And the revolution will ultimately function on its own!

Using their Anit-Arguement ideology will be the key into infiltrating their minds and spurring the revolution! It must work! Once the revolution is in full swing, we will institute a new leader and a new form of government. The first bill to pass, which will be strictly enforced by the AH gestapo, will be called the "I love Pigs Bill"... you get the idea.

All in favor?

-Paul
