And I agree, I refuse to buy anything EA.  They ruined all my favorite games.

Airwarrior

Wing Commander

Ultima

I even blame them for the fall of the VooDoo video card empire.

Maybe EA knows where Jimmy Hoffa is?  They seem good at burying things where no one can find them.

yup news from the front, both battling it out here in Montreal were Ubisoft came in '97 and EA last year...

when EA came last year they hired 3 or 5 employees(can't remember) that worked for Ubisoft or still worked there, under contract its illegal for them to disclose any company blablabla lawyer watermelon err legal recourse or something.

big boss of Ubisoft here has only 15% shares, EA wants 20% shares, simple arithematic, it ain't gonna happen:D

It was also a hostile purchase.  Ubisoft did not willingly sell these shares to EA, instead EA courted some Ubisoft shareholders and that's how they got the shares they did.

It was nice to see the NBA reject EA's offer of an exclusive license agreement.

IL2 is a load of rubbish anyhow.

the flight model is poor. the fight coad is layghable.

the only thing it ever had going for it was the graphics.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Hey, was it a hamburger and coke shortage in 1929 in your country? <- the only thing I can use as a polite answer instead of "FU".

The problem is that many creative people like Oleg had to completely re-organise their businesses, and I doubt that Ubi or 1C could be the publishers of IL-2 family if we didn't have August 17th, 1998 disaster, arranged my IMF and other "friends".

Who gives a rat's about Il2!  I use to divide my online time between Aces High and Raven Shield/Athen Sword, a Ubisoft game.  Now that I don't play AH anymore I've been playing a lot of RS/AS.  This will suck if they F-up one more game company I enjoy(being a former Air Warrior).

  That`s just my point.
They may not be such a "seperate entity" of each other as you think.
Because they carry different commercial names and want to be percieved as such doesn`t mean squat.
It`s all about the mean green and protecting the same.

Boroda, we'll talk about it next week at the airport. Partly because I have no idea what 1998 was all about, and i'm tired and my feet are cold.

It's not what I think, it's the simple fact. UBI does not own Maddox Games. They are the publisher of the games they make, they do not own that company.

Simply a fact, in the 3 years I've been buying and playing the games that issue has surfaced many times.
