Hierarchy system
« on: January 01, 2005, 08:41:59 AM »
Last nite in MA about 30 - 50 knights all up in one corner at a20 going down to hmm I would say a21 (bish) and didn’t take the base or try to take it. On the other side of the map we had a few JBs and a few others trying to hold off the Rook horde.
I asked two questions that nobody answered, ”where are all the leaders of the squad??” and also “where are the leaders?”

Last week we had the big islands map and notice that the bish were the ones moving down the western coast with little resistance. I rounded up my squad and assigned them bases on which to take out barracks.

Now taking these two into an example… where are the squad leaders or just plain old leaders?  I’m sure if the CO of a squad isn’t in the room then there is at least some sort of hierarchy system in place for the squad so the highest ranking member should make decisions.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has any concerns about this? Or should we just let 2 resets happen to us in any given day.

If the map is reset then we just have more choices.   I only worry when we get three resets in one day and the $100 penalty per player kicks in.

Yup, if people ain't in your squad than they probably just won't listen. More than likely you'll even get the following:

"Who made you king of the "

But that's the mentality in the MA anymore.

Not everyone playing has the same agenda. The incentive of 25 perks each category is not diddly to 90% of these guys (me included).  For sure to the guys that carrie 25,000+ perks  and really nothing to spend them on when ya get them.

And there is very few players that has the charisma to attract and lead the number of players needed to rail road the other countries.  Those few players that can get the hordes stampeding seem to be lost as of late (nits, rook, bish all have people like this).   I'm sure lots of you  know what im talking about . Thinking of  those missions that can roll with 30 , 40 , 50+ pilots working together taking base after base, and with even numbers of players in each country. It has not always taken planed missions to get numbers together, just that certain person with that charisma thing.

And having the number of fields captured from one country so they only have ,,ummm lets say 8 left and the  other two countries have 25 and 26 , that also seems to motivate those people that had different agendas earlier and even those that dont need perks. lmao..  go figure  :)

There is a trick to it.

what you gotta do is plant a seed so that they will do what you want or what is needed and let them think it was their idea.

But in order for this to work you also have to show that you are willing to do what is needed also.
Be willing ot run GV suppplies once in a while to people that need them.
Or feild supplies.
Or troops
Change your own plans and dump your 0rd to go help someone in trouble. Or run and hit that base that someone else is warning about and announce that you got troops at X base but Y and Z bases still have them.

Announce incomming attacks you see no only by the base about to be hit but by providing such details as force composition, alt, and heading.

Knights have a bunch of people willing to help where its needed.
But like everyone they also like to know they can count on you to provide help as well.
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

I was there at 21 at the time the map reset and the Baltic map got loaded, the knits upped from A22 said they was going to take out the VH, and the ack and the Town..saw lot of Mossies, B26s amongst other planes..Kak3 was the firstgoon think Stone or Stoner was second goon, I was the 3rd goon..............by the time I got there ( my goon had 50% fuel ) the town was still up, I flew sw of the base behind a mtn til my fuel ran dry.......when I finally ditched and took off at A31 someone said town deown at A21 LOL.........

you see people start out thinking we going to capture this base we got the numbers hardly any resistence is up...by the time they get to the base they see maybe 3 or 4 low enemy icons and all drop ord to go chase the enemy icons now that the 30 or so are low and same alt as the 3 low enemy icons the enemy starts upping in mass for a little while it is bout even keel fight.......maybe 1 or 2 hvy fiters try to take buildings down at the town but rest are thirsty for a kill....3 goons end up of being no use because the attack planes insist on going for the kill trying to beat the other 29 guys to it......quiet freaking hilarious I must say........they all dive low leave the 2 or 3 bombers ( or formations) with out any cover so they get nailed by 163s or 262s or the uber climbing La7s etc........

then you have 30 people yelling on Local Range , noone reading the text buffer ( which is sometimes more important than the VOX channel) or even looking at the map.

at this point this is when the few that actually know how to get it done and know what to do say the hell with it and go have fun for them selves because the other gaggle got their heads stuck up where the sun isn't shining!

there is your answer  navajoboy

Why criticize Navajo for taking a stand and speaking his mind? Navajo is justified in asking "where are all the squad leaders at" during a crisis. Anarchy may be fun at times but when all you are doing is acting like a bunch of mad dogs (no offense Maddog) it gets frustrating watching your country fall apart.  Maybe it is time for a coming together of the squads and squad leaders for some joint missions in the M.A..
