Well, I think it was last night. However, I don;t see what the connection between having a CAP protecting a CV and the guns on it is. If you want to fly circles at 10K waiting for an attack that may or may not come, and if it does come have them dive through you towards the CV, go ahead. (Bytheway, thats not gaming. Thats what dive bombers do, they dive). To prevent that from happening, you need to 'CAP' away from the CV or base. That would kind of require you to know where the attack may come from. So, yes, wait till the last moment, but have some skill requirement to killing the intruders.
That poor intruder comming in by himself over a CV should be erased. Have you seen the wall of fire a real CV group can put in the air? CVs need more guns. The question is how to make it so that they cannot be used for gaming the game by hitting fighters engaged in dog fight away from the CV. The CV group should have the power to erase a bomber formation coming in straight and slow but something has to be done to make it less effective against fast, small, not straight flying fightrers with friendlies around them 4K out or more. Maybe if kill shooter was on with damage inflicted to the CV, or being able to kill the friendly, or being so hard to recalculate the target solution that it would be very hard to do unless you did fly in a straight line.
Don't know what the solution is. I know that now, unless maned they are useless and they only annoy people. Manned, they are being gamed and annoy people again.
