Only 100 lbs of mexican smoke? Still seems strange. I agree with you about the gov trolling 88. Somethings seem to get released just to see how we react.

Does it bother anyone else that so many people every year cross our southern border illegally?

Why in God's name is the influx across our borders in not being addressed by any major politicians on either side of the aisle?

That plane.....I guess as someone said, it show we can track stuff like that, but what about the millions each year that cross.

Is it really going to take another major terror attack before the issue is looked at seriously?

So, they screen airline passengers at airports, yet don't  really bother to protect our borders? Makes no sense to me.

Once again we see the narrowminded tunnle vision that will bring civilization to its downfall.  Glas with his no need to be worried cause a cessna wont cause much damage and sandy with his "has one ever been used?" and 88 with his tinfoil hat govt propaganda.

this is no different than what I've heard alot hear when the focus seems to be completly on ONE threat and if it wasnt used in the past we shouldnt be worried about it now.

It's as if somones having a conversation on Sept 10th 2001 saying "fly an airplane into a building....fly four of them....man that sounds crazy....when's the last time somone tried that?  How many terrorists do you know that have pilot training?"

Only drug smugglers use cesna over Mexico so this can't possibly be linked to anything other than that.

It is very common for them to use Mexico to enter the United States.  The usual launchpad for them to the States is usually on the California/Mexico border near El Centro because across the border there is a sizable Chinese community in Mexicali.

Oh, and that stuff about the Chinese and the dirty bomb was a hoax by a smugglar that either got stiffed or was trying to eliminate his fellow competitors.

Sail boats and power boats dissapere in the Gulf of Mexico and at the south end of Baja California every year. Then they are repainted or altered and used for smuggling, drug running, or outright resold to unsuspecting Americans. A large multi-masted sailboat with a deep keal needs a ton or more ballist to hold it down. I know people who spend most of their retired time sailing the west coast form panama to alaska in large sail boats.

What are the odds of putting together a nice middle american white couple, and papers, and registration for a big sailboat, and replacing the ballist with other heavy metal things in mexico or in central america? then sail up to any of the west coast US cities where a U-Haul van is waiting to drive to NYC or Whashington D.C.?

Thinking about how many tons of drugs that must be crossing US borders every week, I dont really see how you could keep terrorists from smuggling in bombs.

It could be done, it the really wanted to do it, I am very sure of this.

And, for the second, you dont need that much explosives to make a hughe bomb, look at the Oklahoma bomber and what he used.

Go ahead. Try to guard against everything. You'll end up guarding nothing.

As for dirty bombs... that particular boogey man sure has gotten a lot of miles. I think we have enough to worry about without making **** up. Might as well worry about sharks with frickin' lasers on their heads.
