Sandman is a man I respect a lot. He is very respectful of others as well and I admire him.

He doesn't make any inflamatory remarks ( like I do) and pretty much makes his points.

I don't agree with some of his points, but I would never post anything in disrespect of him. (not saying you did Gun)

i was going to suggest rethinking our foreign policy, strengthening our internal defenses, pulling up our bootstraos and working towards becoming energy self sufficient through the research and developement of non petroleum fuels.

i was thinking that we could even eventually share it with the rest of the world without sucking the life out of them.

just cause we are good people.

i was going to suggest that we stop arming people who will eventually fight against us.

i was going to suggest that we stop building our own iron curtain because fences are the opposite of openness.

but thats all silly.

wed still screw it up...or would we?

anyone have any suggestions?

what is the problem?  how do we fix it?

I certainly not advocating capital punishment for illegals, but there is a reason it is called illegal immigration.

The law has been broken.  Returning them to their country of origin and calling it good is not enough, it would be like letting a bank robber off the hook if he gave back the money.  There needs to be some price illegals pay.

The real way to get control of the situation is to make a easy to handle guest worker program, and make it easier than resorting to coyotes.  Make a harsh punishment for anyone who employs someone outside the system.

Then anybody crossing at unusual border crossings is up to no good.

Shipping containers are a bigger threat than Cessnas. But if we were to inspect each and every container that would be a hindrence to business. We can't have that now, can we?

Nope.

Otherwise you would be complaining about the 30% unemployment rate.

NUKE, dont be that dramatic about people having another point of view then you.
I think this BBS would be pretty boring if everyone said the same thing or did just agree with the one who posted.
Look at it as a chance to open up your views.
To be honest, If you disagree with me, I will check your sources (if you leave any, whitch is rare) and in very rare occasions, I will agree with you.

To say that people are cancer and wish for them to be banned, is not a very good way to carry out a discussion.

Anyway, apart from that: Who is CO for the O`Club squad?

I watched a show on this the other night. History Channel or National Geographic. Doesnt matter.

It was all about Shipping and AQ's Navy:lol I didnt know they had a navy. Anyway...The stuff and info on that show was very telling about how vulnerable we are to terrorists getting in that way.

Very Very telling.

well RPM there in lies a good discussion......were do we let our need for security effect our lives.....IE what level of protection do we apply to make it so the terrorists are effective in there endevors.

inspecting every shipping container would bring imports to a virtual hault.  Not saying that it's imposible to do but weigh practicality.  When the costs of goods and services accross the board go up 15% and people can no longer afford things that make their life livable........

It makes for a good delema.  I just hope and pray that people smarter than me are making those decisions wisely.

Well gunslinger, what is freedom?

To have the freedom to interfere with other countrys buisness or to get to the grossery shop without having your car searched 2 times in roadblocks along the road?

It is a dilemma, sure.
