Now I dont want to hurt anyones feelings or make them look bad. But if a hypothetical person claimed to have an airforce general for a father, a P-51, and 500 hours of flight time, then did not back up the claims, I would say this hypothetical person may not be telling the truth.
I had a friend with narcisistic personality disorder, and thats the kind of claims he would make.
I hope straiga really does have a P-51, maybe he just doesnt want to make all the poor saps like me (who dont have pilots licenses) jealous.
Now my dad, a LT in the airforce auxillary, really did get alot of stick time in a world war II aircraft in the 50s and 60s. The mighty L-4 Grasshopper.
The current accepted cost per hour is around $1800 - $2600 per hour for maintenance, planned expenses (prop over haul, radiator, engine overhaul, annuals, etc.), insurance, hangar space, and the consumables.
The low ball for 500 hours is: $900000.00
The high end on those figures is: $1300000.00
LOL, with those cost levels, and he does not remember the paint scheme, N number, or S/N.
This is looking more and more like a damn fraud by the minute.
He's already been caught in 1 lie. The general for a Daddy one. Let's see how many more we find.
