So why does the UK fight? :lol

What a bunch of BS, just like the BBC's account of the "massacre" in Jenin by the Israelis.

Their style is to go in with a BS statement or question meant to be taken as fact "why is the US  predisposed to war ?" ( like that's just assumed, now let's find our answer), then slant the rest of the story to support that statement with edited inverviews with the "man on the street".

In Jenin, we had a BBC "expert" on the ground saying basically "there are no bodies being found yet, but there is evidence of a huge massacre here"

Got to love these jokers.

Skydancer is wearing thin on me. I love people that come here just to screw with Americians.....either out of bordom and to get a reaction, or mostly, just fascination with us I guess.

Now , now don`t be too hard on the boy.
He comes to a U.S. based board, owned by a U.S. company to spread the word about the evil American Capitalist empire like any good party member only to be scoffed at and laughed at. Just proves the total evil within the U.S. with our big cars, big bikes, total wastefullness and and and just ole evil stuff. :D
I think, as he suggests, he is just misunderstood.

The truly sad part is most Americans had no ill feelings toward Europeans.  Now with the trend in Europe to pile on everything "American" the cross pond disgust and hatred is probably here to stay.

Just curious here. How many bulletin boards are there in other countries that are available to US folks? It would be interesting to go to those boards and see what the "locals" post for real.

So did any of you guys watch it?

You know what the realy sad thing is. After 911 there was support for the US all over the world. Even in Tehran people were deeply moved by what had happened and were pledgeing support for the victims. And what happened? Your Govt realy stuffed it for you.  Now your nation is as unpopular as hell and even amongst people that are supposed to be your greatest allies people are begining to feel very uncomfortable abouut what is going on. That is sad.

Now listen carefully Its not Americans that are unpopular its what is being done in your name. To blindly criticise a people based on their government's actions is crazy.

I can only assume that this board is not only US owned etc. But it is also dominated by rightwing republican zealots.

By the way NUKE I don't agree that we should be fighting either. My fear is that our nation is getting entangled in the same mess you are. So you could say I'm not anti American. I'm anti what is being done by Blair and Bush. Personaly I think Blair has reduced us to the status of Lackey and is allowing our foreign policy to be dominated by the US and subsumed into the great Necon world plan. We have a puppet army commanded from the pentagon.

Does that make me anti UK too because I criticise my Govt? Cmon dont be so daft.

I think our government is doing a great job. We are kickin *** and taking names.
I can imagine some places are very uncomfortable, as they should be. The free ride is over.

I've got the whole "why we fight" series on DVD; and they're genuinely interesting historical documents in thier own right.

There's a mass of fascinating WWII footage in them; and some commentary that's still relevant.

The tone is extremly jingoistic and yes; it's propaganda; but I've always looked upon them as an attempt by a democratic government to "get the people on board" in it's descion to take part in a foreign war far away in countries from which most Americans had negative thoughts about; if they bothered thinking about them at all.

Placed in the context of thier times; they were a tremendous help to Britain; and skydancer/Zulu is being a right royal p.i.t.a. using such material in his constant "look at me; I'm an attention potato!" America bashing.

I wonder if he and Beetle are related?

Well not this one.

The Govt is not the people. Just a body elected usualy by a minority, when you consider a vast proportion never vote anyhow!

Seeker. I didn't make the documentary. go look at the web link again.

It was interesting as not one interview was of anyone other than Americans. Mostly members of "the project for the new American century" or former military people or CIA. Realy you ought to watch it, before you blindly criticise based on what you think it is.
