The "Why we Fight" title of the film cited in the original post is an ironic reference to the WW2 Capra films of the same name.

American. It was just shown on the BBC, they didn't make it.
I was too late home to watch this last night, but I know something about it. One of the director Jarecki's initial references is a speech made by President Eisenhower, in which he warned of the creeping influence of what he termed the "Military Industrial Complex".
