Do you know this because you know him, or do you know this because that's what he told you? I'm not being mean, but I've heard that line of reasoning for doing this from others before, and they were lying.

What's funny is that I don't mind that Sniper was cutting his engine. It just seemed kind of silly and unnecessary. The reason guys like Nath and I don't do it anymore is because it doesn't offer any real advantages, and it is not as versatile as an actual throttle.

as far as i know its true, he is left handed and his stick is not.

IE: to use his throttle (which sucks anyhow he says) he has to reach over his left hand with his right, which is apparently not worth the trouble when cutting works too.

i believe what he says as there's not much point lying about it.

anyhow, he flies good however he does it

I had a Knight P-38 I was fighting last night do the same thing. Was funny seeing him go into a spin when he tried to turn tighter to get inside of my turn.

I have never done any of the sort. I do not see the merrit in the cutting of the throttle, with the exclusion of torque. Though torque can be exploited by turning in the direction that the engine pulls tword

The reason I started using toggle engine was because, before I got my HOTAS setup, I had no comfortable way to cut my power. The only throttle I had was on my joystick, but it wasn't productive to move my hand from the view keys on the k'board -- so I just toggled engine on and off. I had no need to do this after I got a HOTAS. Leviathn copied me for awhile and started doing it, but I'm not sure why cause he's always had a seperate throttle. Loser.

I would have been lying if I said I didn't have a throttle. I did have a throttle, but it suited my hardware better to simply hit a key. Then everyone started copying me. Go figure.

I don't know where this game would be without me. My flying has always been rife with innovation.

i reall;y dont have a throttle well i do but its stuck in the full thorttle spot

plus its on the other side of the joystick and i cant reach all the way around over my left hand to get it in a good fight
like nath said its just alot easier to hit a button with my right hand since its allready on my keypad views

if i could find a seperate throttle that i could put near my right hand then i would not like im doing this outta the joy of doing it i have no other choice

I actually learned (well kind of) to fly righty....went to HOTAS bout 2 years ago....took about 4-5 months to get a feel for it...

I used to cross props with sniper back in the CT in 2003 (was azhacker in game then)....course I use the term "cross props" loosely since I dont to any better with him then with you:)....

BTW....was a fun fun fight last night sniper <>
