Oh come on.  I'm sure there are lots of people that want to punch you.  

And yes the CT is fun.  For me anyway.  I would suggest that perhaps, one or both of you were simply having a bad day and found an outlet?  Dont blame an arena for the actions you didnt approve of from a few people.  There are people trying to figure out how to make it more enjoyable, but comments and attitudes like yours dont make it easier.  It wont suit everyone's style of gameplay.  Thats not a fault, its meant to be that way.  If you dont enjoy it, I'm sorry, but you will probably be one of those who will never be happy with it.  Thats why the MA is there.  Enjoy.  

One thing I have learned about online gaming.  Its not the game, or the arena within the game that makes it fun.  Its how you view it.  If you cant find a way to have fun there, maybe its just not for you.  Thats not the game's fault.  It's not the Arena's fault.  I manage to  have a good time in the CT, the MA, Scenarios, Snapshots, whatever.  If I cant, for whatever reason, find something in one of those places on any given day that fits my definition of fun, I simply shut er down.  I dont blame everyone else for my lack of a good time.



Even though I quoted Bug at the start, this isnt really aimed at him.  Its aimed at everyone.  I'm sure you can decide for yourself if I meant to include you in it.  You like to come up with names for other people you see as whining, yet you do it yourselves constantly.  Jeeze, what is this?  Because you are good at shooting down cartoon planes with digital bullets, you somehow feel you have bigger cajones that the rest of the world?

RESPECT OTHER PLAYERS AND OTHER SQUADS
    Jagdgeschwader 54 has built up the reputation as a "CLASS ACT" in the CT. All members of the squad have worked hard to build this reputation so we take it VERY SERIOUSLY. We have a "Code of Conduct" that is STRICTLY enforced and it is expected to be followed by ALL members of the squad from the Kommodore down to the Squadron Cat. Failure to do so will lead to a review by STAB and possible imediate dismissal from the squad.
     Treat other players as you would like them to treet you. It won't help JG 54 if you become confrontational with other players. Making rude comments or accusations of other players is looked down upon and is behavior better suited to a bunch of 5 year olds.
     There will be times in the CT when some Nimrod will say or do something that will set you off. If you get mad, take a break. Stay off the open channel (Ch. 1) no matter how bad it pisses you off. Do your talking with your guns - the kill message he gets will get the point across.
     Also, don't be a ragging winner or sore looser about victories or loses. Never shoot at pilots hanging helpless in parachutes. If you get shot down give the enemy a and try and get him the next time.
SET AN EXAMPLE
    As a member of JG 54, your reputation as a player relects on the squad as a whole. The reputation of the squad also reflects on it's members. REMEMBER, you have that tag JG 54 "Grunherz" behind your name in the game roster. So conduct yourself with respect and restraint. Save your hostility for your flying.
     If there are any reports of JG 54 pilots not conducting themselves with the highest standards, (DURNING SQUAD NIGHTS, EVENTS OR DURING NON-SQUAD HOURS), that pilot will have to explain it to the ENTIRE SQUAD. Then, STAB will decide whether you will continue with JG 54.

Almost ALL the JG54 are real nice guys, by  and large, I fly with a Storch and a few others  in MA now and then--that isnt the issue...there's just TOO many of you for such a small arena! I dont get much time to fly at night, and if Rooks are getting ganged off yet another map,I'll go either CT or DA...usually DA gets first nod...lotsa guys there, but they not all lookin at ME:)

Yep,

Bug completely refused to fight 1 vs 1 in the DA.

Spent 15 minutes listening to excuses from him.

Sat there and watched him claim he was sitting on the runway while the DAR bar and radar showed him off the base.  Finally got him to land so we could take off together and meet at his specified altitude in his specified plane, when he shows up at my airfield.

Took off from opposite sides of the field and went H 2 H.  I crashed after the merge and realized killshooter is on.

He popped up in front of me, I laughed and shot him up.  Both of us died.  Told Bug to change airfields and he logged.

He showed up 10 minutes later in the CT proclaiming victory.

No I just don't think anyone would take the kind of personal insults you spew.

You show up in the middle of discussion's were people are producing facts and hurl personal attacks while contributing nothing except the insults.  All because actual WWII documentation does not back up what you think your favourite plane should do.
