I had trouble telling the difference between yellow and metal in the black and white picture, I had to guess how the yellow curved around the bottom.
Also I had trouble telling the color of the .50 cal mounts, I judged by the first picture that one was metal, and guessed the rest were metal as well.

There are bugs with the B26 skin, so its not 100% accurate.

Is the leading edge on the outer invasion stripe supposed to be bare metal? or was there a glitch that needed that color spot to be metal?

Other than that it looks pretty good.

Very nice choise of skin but it really needs to be weathered and some oil smudge from the engines wouldnt hurt either.

"They leaked almost as much oil as they burned"

The smudge does look tooo heavy... but its really hard to tell exactly without having the skin it self and beeing able to rotate the plane...

When doing oil smudge its very important that it is in places where it really could be...

Here are some links to worn and dirty B26s... dont need to be as weathered or as dirty... but gives you material to work with...

http://b26marauder.com/b26/marauderpc.jpg

At the last one look at the replaced metal plateing... its also a way to make planes look rugged...

So work on making it look less painted... both the skin and the oil smudge... weathering needs to be added.. maybe a replaced metal plate here and there (not too many)... weathering could be applied to the nose job as well to make it look less painted..

This skin is suppoed to be bare metall right?

If so then the materials.txt needs to be edited...

I hate to critic but, needs weather though, idk all your B26's look alil rushed in. take your time and experiment with a few things. add scratches and paint fading and dirt.  Look at picutres of the real plane and look at how it was scratched and realize that some parts of the lpane gets more scratched than others.  I like the look of the plane though and im looking forward to seeing what yuo do in the future.

I dont mind critics, thats what helps improve these skins is it not?
Found a new tool to play with and it gave me pretty good effects so here is what I came up with.

Hard to get a good SS in the game of the bottom because B26 cant fly level upside down so here is what the bottom looks like in the skin viewer.

Now this DOES look alot better... awsome!!!!

One thing though... some of the weathering does look mirrored.... when its too symetrical it does look a bit strange...

Also still looks like you have not yet played with the materials.txt file. Which needs to be done.

Also the invation stripes need some weathering on them as it now looks like they are "taped over" a dirty plane.

But great improvement!!!

B26 hasnt been updated yet, lots of mirroring, no material.txt file yet.
I dont have the invasion stripes go over the top of the fuselage because they are mirrored further up on the fuseloge.

look at some bare metal skins and try to replicate what the skinners did to make it look like that (its all shading and blurs)

I lightened each panel seperately with a touch-up tool to try to replicate metal and had some panels slightly darker than others.

did some stuff to the invasion stripes

kinda hard to tell that I lightened up some of the black stripes
