Plus monitors themselves are different. What you see on one monitor may be entirely different then you see on another.

In the Game when its night time it shouldnt be bright as day but not pitch black either.
Think Harvest moon.
Those few days every fall when the moon is so big and bright you can actualy read by its light.

In the game it should be light enough to see yet dark enough to that the effects of night make ya go "wow cool"

Night time in AH isnt as pitch black as it is in say WWIIOnline, but it's still dark enough that you cant tell which way a plane in manuevering. Tis why I said I cant see well enough to fight in the dark.

In this past this issue has flipped first one way, then the other. I'd like to see it settled once & for all.

In the Wintertime when more people tend t o be flying, leave the night/dark to an absolute minimum.

The other 6 months in the Summer, lets have Nighttime. Ideally it would happen after midnight, and after 12 noon. So as not to inconvienience those who dislike it.

But those of us who enjoy it could plan for it.

Another thing, it seems that most WWII movies I've seen shows a lot of differnt colored flares being used. Both parachute type and the shoot up in the sky kind.

With the cool new effects you guys are pulling off don't you think it would be sweet if we could pop out a white, red, or green flare?

Need a bit of light to land, drop a flare at 2k, circle out and land before it hits.

Need to mark a enemy GV force coming in, drop a red flare over it. Shows everyone on your side where to look and makes them easier to see.

Nighttime could be cool if we can work with it.

Would even 20 or 30 minutes (even an hour) of night be that bad? Even if we didn't have to go through an entire night cycle it would be nice to let it "get dark" and then "get light". It would be nice to fly some dawn patrols--you know, roll out very early (while still dark) and gain some sky to be ready when the light hits and the late risers start flying again.

Would also be a real gripper to have to fight night GV battles. Even if the real fighting didn't start till "dawn", all of the maneuvering and battle prep would be interesting.

I just think it would give us some additional flavor and be a refreshing change from the same-old-same-old. I see both sides of the issue and I understand what people are saying about not wanting to even try and play when it is night. However, there is a large group of people that want the night and another group that would just like some variety.

More daytime/nighttime, clouds, weather, wind!

Fewer trees!

Not bad idea (s) Ghosth

Kinda like opposite seasonal night time hours......long in summer, short in winter. Works real good from were I'm from....where the nights in winter are amost 24 hrs. & during the summer zero hrs.

As for the Flares........another good idea ( Damn Ghosth 2 in a row ) flares were (are) just another tool to combat against darkness. Returning missions...bombers could be armed with flares....or the C47 could have the option of loading 10 flares. C47 ups just prior to arrival of returning mission.....drops load of flares over field for landing.

GVs with cannons have same option.......for night time ground warfare......instead of picking up smoke, load Starburst flares. You hear them but can't see them....pop a flare. That would also help regarding air support in spotting ground targets.

I for one support the return of night time. But then I look at night as another weapon, one of stealth.

I think that mechanic has put it better than anyone else so far...

A change is as good as a holiday....

Man some of my landings would be funny if i was sliding on a wet runway. hell they are funny now:)

Again I think there should be a second arena with night weather ect.

If you just want to furball and look at the blinding sun how bout a map with two 1 sector apart base's with unbombable FH's..
